Marna | 28 comments First Lessons in Beekeeping A very helpful (if occasionally intimidating)introduction to beekeeping, it was first published in 1917.

Kalen Fulbright | 21 comments Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson I read Sam's letters to Jennifer first published in 2001. I found this book to be a slow read and a little depressing. 272 pages

Shadow Woman by Linda Howard

Published Jan 1st, 2013..

An interesting read. Lizette wakes up and doesn't recognize the face in the mirror and is suddenly stricken by headaches and bouts of nausea any time she tries to access her past further back then three years. Is she paranoid and losing it or are THEY really watching...

They are really listening if not watching. And while you watch Lizette scramble around as her old life reemerges you do wonder what part she played in the teaser prologue at the beginning of the book...

I'd like to say it was a surprising book but A. it's a romantic suspense novel and B. it takes a lot to surprise me...a fun read particularly for any fan of Linda Howard.

336 pages

I read This Heart of Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I have read some of Phillips' other books in her Chicago Stars series and have enjoyed them all. What always stands out for me is the humor in her books. Any book that makes me smile as often as I did with this book makes it a worthwhile read for me. 384 pgs
