I know that many people did not meet the goal of NaNoWriMo, but what ever the reason don't give up! If your story is still being written then keep writing! Or maybe you just couldn't finish that one, maybe you found an even better story to write?! That's good to! So come and tell us, are you still writing and if so what's it about?

SteinFussel This is MY thread. Lol. I realized rather early that 1.6k words a day is not doable for me. And I was busy with my college assignments. So I relaxed too early maybe. I also started with 750words.com to get back in the habit of writing. That is not working too well for me atm either. But that is ok. I am very busy crafting Xmas presents like crocheting teddy bears and sewing scarfs and such. Braiding baskets. That is very relaxing during this time of the year and I have never been less busy than this year so I REALLY enjoy it.
But I hope I won't get too lazy and return to my writing projects. Short time crafts just give ma a faster result and moment of success and that's what I need atm.

So yeah, I gave up with NaNo at around 3k words but I am still on it. Just pausing the process for a Xmas break and thinking the plot through again. It is gonna be a fantasy story where two human teenagers have to save the wonderful (wonder-full) land of Lesuth.

Haley that sounds like a cool book, something I would probably read :) the teddy bears sound adorable, I'm happy there are so many people in the Christmas spirit

Jasmine Evans (jasminekevans) I did reach 50k in November but my novel is only about 75% done, so I'm still writing. I unfortunately fell right out of the habit of writing every day, but I'm hoping to jump right back on that horse.

SteinFussel I'm glad your up and about with your presents! I hope it goes well and I'm glad you having fun with it. But I do hope your able to start your writing quickly! :)

@Haley: Me too! it's one of my favorite times of the year!

@Jasmine I'm glad you got the 50k done and I hope you do well on finishing! I bet it will be a great draft!

T.H. Hernandez (thhernandez) Jasmine - I'm with you. I managed to hit about 53K by the end of November, but I probably have about 20K more to write before it's done. I've managed to continue to write every day, but nowhere near the rate I was during Nano.

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) Did y'all finish?

message 8: by T.H. (new)

T.H. Hernandez (thhernandez) I did. I ended up finishing in January. I'm editing it now and I'm going to write a third book in the series during Camp NaNo in April.

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) That's fabulous, T! I'm looking forward to camp, too.
