History:Tessa came from America to meet up with hr brother, but then she was taken by the dark sister and they forced her to 'change', torturing her in the process. Then she was saved by Will Herondale who she quicky found she had a unique connection with. She me the other shadowhunters including Jem. Tessa is now torn between two shadowhunters, both who lover her. The Magister wants her for reasons that are still unknown, her traitor brother is dead.
Strengths:Her warlock-like abilities, bravery.

Weaknesses:Trusting.

Anything else that seems important:Everyone thinks shes a warlock but she has no mark. Engaged to Jem. Loves books and poetry.

History: Cecily Herondale is a Shadowhunter born to Edmund Herondale and Mrs. Herondale. She was the youngest of three children and lived with her family in Wales until her father lost her family's house and they moved to York. She has come to the London Institute to become a Shadowhunter.

Personality: Sophie is very brisk and standoffish, but she has a kind soul and looks out for her friends.

History: Prior to working at the Institute, Sophie had been a parlor maid, working in a fine house in St. Johns Wood. She was very beautiful, the reason why she was chosen for the job, but it turned out to be a great disadvantage for her. The son of the house took an interest in seducing her. She turned him away repeatedly. In a rage, he took a knife and cut open her face, saying that if he couldn't have her, he'd make sure no one ever wanted her again. She went to her mistress, the boy's mother, but he claimed that she'd tried to seduce him, and he'd taken up the knife to fight her and protect his virtue. The family then threw her out onto the street. This is where Charlotte Branwell found her, crouched in a doorway, filthy, with her cut infected and a bloody rag clutched to her cheek. She actually saw Charlotte, despite Charlotte being glamoured at the time, which is what alerted Charlotte to the fact that she had the Sight. Charlotte took her to The Silent Brothers, who managed to heal the infection but not the scar. She then took up work at the Institute.
Strengths: She's strong and now trained.
Weaknesses:She's mundane.

History: Camille was created centuries prior to the events of The Mortal Instruments. She lived her life in the night and was a refined vampire. At some point, she grew to be quite close to and befriended Alexei de Quincey. They were quite close and were part of the vampire clan in London during the 1800s. At one point, Camille fell in love with a werewolf, Woolsey Scott's older brother. This was forbidden by the vampires and therefore de Quincey killed him. This devastated Camille and she swore to have her revenge.

Weakness: mark of Cain, clary, being a day lighter, trying to live a human life
History: is Clary's best friend, before they were introduced to the Shadow world. In City of Ashes, Simon is turned into a vampire.
Family: mr Lewis(dead) mrs Lewis and Rebecca Lewis
Anything else that seems important: has the mark of Cain, can walk in daylight, can use a bow has had a relationship at some point with Maia, Isabelle, and Clary. His mom kicked him out because he is a vampire
