What will the future of books be like? Will there not be any more physical books? Will there only be digital books? Will there be no books, or at least will you be allowed to read books like in Fahrenheit 451? What do you think the future of books should be? Would it really be that bad if their were no books? Also, one of the most important questions to most of the people who are using this website, if not all of them: If their were no books, then what would be of Goodreads? Would it shut down? Would there even still be internet by that time?

So, you think there will be no books left?

Ok. Do you think one day we will prohibit reading?

Maybe, in this age, people will just say the reading books takes too long and needs too much effort.

They could always just have the things they need to do flash on a screen.

I am not saying they will lose the ability to, I am saying that they may think of reasons they do not need it.

So, are I know this is an ignorant question, but are you Pro eReader or neutral?

HURRAH! Unbalance Bean Mr. Wiggles (awesomesocks) | 8 comments It will be a sad world. No book stores (I love barns and nobles) only computer books

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments I'm neutral. I've for a Kindle 3 (yes, the one with a keypad) which I love. The books are cheaper, and the kindle is super light. Although, nothing replaces turning the pages of a book.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments I officially like books better, if the paper is nice.

Badgerlord | 4 comments Especially if the paper has a shiny coating on the edges.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Same here.

message 15: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I think digital books will become more and more popular. I think they'll be pressured onto us more in the future. I think it's likely that governments might start taxing for paper and books for the sake of the environment. But there will always be a demand for books even if it is small. They'll just be more expensive.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Oh, yes! A book you can read in the shower would be amazing.
