For me, it was a 4-H public speaking contest when I was in 4th grade. How about you?

I get REALLY nervous sometimes about answering in class, but I can stand in front of a crowd and speak. Weird, huh?

High school freshman. It was a lot worse last year and the year before. I'm a bit more comfortable with it now, but I think it's the fact that I'm speaking in front of people that I know, and it's more of a fear of failure or something.

I hear you. I promise: even though 7th grade is ROUGH, it gets soooooooooo much better in a couple years (believe it or not, those immature guys grow up *gasp* ;D).

The homework isn't horrible freshman year (at least for me). And yes, they do. But I don't blame you for your disbelief. 2 years ago, I would have said the same thing...make that 6 months ago! :)

*nods and rolls eyes* Middle school boys...

Leah: no they don't grow up much. Sorry to disappoint y'all but only a few do and only slightly Sorry to burst your bubble. Maybe it's the guys where you live...

The girls.... I find they get worse in highschool but I'm more of a "I'm not going to date I don't care about clothes or makeup shut up" girl. If you prefer that stuff you'll be happy

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Well... At my school guys are easier to handle as they all are gamer guys etc with the same personality that doesn't get on my nerves. Most of the girls... Not so much

At my school, most of the guys are at least TOLERABLE. They're somewhat more of gentlemen...still kinda immature, but better. But the girls...you're right, they're catty.

I hate public speaking, if I ever have to be in a debate in class or if I have to do a presentation I go all red and then get tongue tied and then I jut don't know what to do so I just stand there.
Yup, not pretty.
And I go to an all GIRLS school, which is way worse because girls are really mean and horrible nowadays.

Treble Maker :3 When I was in year three, so seven years ago, I tried out for this school junior speakers comp and I made it through several rounds and was then selected to compete outside of school in the regional junior public speaking comp and that's where I fell in love with public speaking. I continued competing in public speaking until I started highschool (four years ago) and then joined a debating team... And the rest is history xD

Ruth | 2483 comments I had to do a presentation on origami once and completely despised it, so i decided that i am not a public speaker.

Don't worry! That may have just been a bad presentation.

Faye (asdfayeiouvwxyz) | 269 comments I was in 6th grade I think. Declamation. My teacher sort of likes this kind.
