Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments I am scared of High Octane but since I can't change my choice later, I will go with it.

1. Author’s last name.

B Inescapable by Amy A. Bartol(392p) 1/23/2013
C Pretty Girl-13 by Liz Coley (352p) 2/2/2013
D Radiant by Christina Daley (2/11/2013)
E The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston (3/16/2013)
F Secret for a Song by S.K. Falls (5/31/2013)
G The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (8/31/2013)
H This Beautiful Thing by Amanda Heath (11/18/2013)
I Ill-Fated by Evelyn Ink (12/28/2013)

J Greta and the Goblin King by Chloe Jacobs
K Rape Girl by Alina Klein
L What a Mother Knows by Leslie Lehr
M Cinder by Marissa Meyer, A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
N The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
O The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka, The Book of Madness and Cures by Regina O'Melveny
P Wonder by R.J. Palacio
Q A Night Like This by Julia Quinn
R The Siren by Tiffany Reisz
S Xor: The Shape of Darkness by Moshe Sipper
T What I Didn't Say by Keary Taylor
U First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers by Loung Ung
V No and Me by Delphine de Vigan
W Partials by Dan Wells
X Sky Burial: An Epic Love Story of Tibet by Xinran
Y Blood Red Road by Moira Young
Z Freshman Year & Other Unnatural Disasters by Meredith Zeitlin

For next lists
The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Indigo Awakening by Jordan Dane
Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg
City of Dark Magic by Magnus Flyte
Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen
Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel
Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

So glad I'm done with the list. I deliberately didn't opt for more choices as I get confused later. I will try and stick to these. I have all these books with me except for the X one. So this challenge'll put a decent hole in my TBR.

Join the club! I'm unlikely to manage more than the first round, but, like you, wanted to give myself the option.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments 1. Author’s last name.
2. First word of the Title (exclusive of words such as a, an, the, etc.)
3. First name of the author.
4. Setting by country.

7. A combination of the above tasks but in your favourite genre!

AmyK (yakyma) | 1045 comments I don't know that I will get past round 1 either, but there is always a chance :)

I know Amy. Hope makes the world go round. Let's try!

The count down is on... One week left to go.

Thanks, Connie!

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Thanks, Kat. Now if only I can maintain it.

message 17: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments 3 books off my list. Now onto D..Hmm..what to read? As usual, I'm straying from my list, too moody to stick to it.

message 18: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59875 comments You can stray, just as long as you keep coming back. :)

message 19: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Ah yes, Janice, I'll surely be coming back to it. What I meant was that I'm not going by the list I planned. I'm reading other books for the challenge and leaving my poor already made list behind. This is the reason why I don't make lists unlike the other super-organizers in the group.

Janice (jamasc) | 59875 comments Lists are like rules - they are meant to be broken. :)

Wait a minute! Did I actually say that?

message 21: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Great start on your alphabet Pragya. Some interesting books on your list.

Do you have another book to use for your X title? I noticed your S author book title is Xor.

I've read both of your O options. Remember 200 page minimum - Buddha is shorter than that - Meany might penalize you for that :~). Madness is good, but slow in places, and not what I expected. There's not a lot of emphasis on researching madness and cures for it - I had been looking forward to that part.

message 22: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments LOL Janice.

Thanks Jmom! Oh yes, Xor! Hmm, good point, I should find another one.

Uh oh, need to check the page count. I am looking forward to Book of Madness and Cures, let's see what I feel.

message 23: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments That's the only one I don't have yet, Judy. Hope it's good since I'm going to add to my TBR list with that. ;)

message 24: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I have the same books for X, also. It sounds interesting. Good list, Pragya!

message 25: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Thank you, Debra.

C - Pretty Girl-13 by Liz Coley by Liz Coley

message 26: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments Oh I need to read that one soon - what did you think?

message 27: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Kat, I didn't really like it. The most I can give this book is 2 stars (it was ok). I think the plot was nothing novel and the book was very predictable.

message 28: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Finished reading book for E - The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston . Didn't like it as much as I had hoped. Now what to read for F?

message 29: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Oh, that's too bad Pragya. I hope your next books are better!

Hopefully I won't spoil it for anyone, but I actually didn't think that she handled the DID very well - I've read several non-fiction books about it, and the work that the counsellor did, didn't really ring true to me.

Ah well, plenty of other books in the library ;)

Exactly! And imagine my horror when I have to read something like this. I am a Clinical Psychologist! I'm glad you felt it too. I thought I was expecting too much professional behavior out of a fiction book.
