Time Travel Challenge

Last year, our reading challenge took us on a road trip through the United States. So for this year’s challenge, I thought it would be fun to travel through time instead. Stock up on your science fiction, historical fiction, and history books for this challenge.

Here are the basic ground rules:

1) Read enough books to complete as many options as you can listed below
2) The same book can be used on more than one option
3) Both fiction and nonfiction count
4) Only books that are finished in 2013 count
5) If 1 book takes place in different time periods, it all counts

Erin | 33 comments This sounds like fun! I haven't read many books featuring time-travel, so I will definitely have to participate this year.

Melanie, I hope you finished the 2012 challenge. I haven't checked yet, but it looks like you're our only hope to finish. I am missing about 10 to 15 states. I didn't think the challenge was going to be that hard!!! I know I can at least finish one of these options next year. Thanks for the positive feedback!

Melanie | 212 comments I didn't get finished. I was doing really good, but a lot of my reading choices were dictated by others. i also got into a spell where I wasn't ready much. It seems like many books take place in the same places.

Sweet! I started the new (teen sci fi) Eoin Colfer book "The Reluctant Assassin" last night and it is modern day London and Victorian 1880s London...so far. Of course, it also has an extremely creepy bad guy and I won't be reading it late at night again....

Okay I admit that I didn't get very far on this challenge. I'm too lazy to really go back through, but if I finished anything it was Option 1. I hope you all had better luck than I did. :)
