Katie (katieisallbooked) | 36 comments Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke
Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters

A lot of people like The Cat Who series on audio, but I don't care for them.

I'm also looking to find more audios from this genre. Can't wait to see other suggestions!

Patty (bookswoman) Some cozy authors in audio are: M.C. Beaton; Rhys Bowen; Leann Sweeny; Anne George; and Dorothy Gilman.

Beth | 616 comments How about the Number One Ladies Detective Agency series set in Botswana? I think most/all of those are on audiotape.

message 5: by Betty (new)

Betty (nightreader) | 116 comments I found the Number One Ladies Detective Agency series listed, too. Also Amelia Peabody Series by Elizabeth Peters; Lord Peter Wimsey Mystery Ser. by Dorothy Sayers; Death of a Village (Hamish Macbeth Mysteries, No. 19) by M. C. Beaton and Graeme Malcolm; other authors: Sharyn McCrumb; J.A. Jance; Jill Churchill; Elizabeth George; Cynthia Riggs; Donna Andrews; Tamar Myers (great sense of humour); Rita Mae Brown, Sneaky Pie Brown: Mrs. Murphy series; Sue Grafton; Caroline Hart; Tony Hillerman; Monday the Rabbi Took Off (Rabbi David Small Mysteries) by Harry Kemelman and George Guidall; Agatha Raisin Mysteries by M. C. Beaton;

Hope some of these help!

Andrea (andreag) | 3 comments I've listened to both series by Simon Brett from Audible and enjoyed them. The Fethering series features a retired British civil servant and her holistic medicine practioner neighbor who solve mysteries in and around their small seaside town. Charles Paris, a mostly out of work, past his prime actor is the star of the other series.

Both series are well narrated and I think were mostly produced by Blackstone Audiobooks.

Wild for Wilde (wildforwilde) | 8 comments I get all my Simon Brett audiobooks from www.booksonboard.com . They have a great selection of the titles you all have mentioned.

Christine (chduncan100) | 14 comments I've been listening to Charlotte Macleod's Sarah Kelling series--an oldie but goodie. And I love Sarah Graves's Home repair is homicide series--also on audio. Oh and Margaret Maron's Deborah Knott series--hmm, I only listen to audio books when I'm running or cleaning, but I must do too much of both.

Heidi | 2446 comments I love the Agatha Raisin (MC Beaton) audio books the best so far . I also love the Stephanie Plum books on audio and the Goldy series by Diane Mott Davidson. Anyone else have any new suggestions for audio cozies?? It is how I "read" a lot my books.

message 10: by Brandy (new)

Brandy Fortune (bnfberman) | 2 comments MC Beaton's Hamish books are good as well

Ellen Crosby

Jacqueline Winspear

I do not like reading the Murder She Wrotes but like them on audio

not necessarily mystery but Julie Kenner's Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series on audio was very entertaining.

If you ever read plain mysteries not just cozy, Laura Lippman's Tess Monaghan is pretty good on audio

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll check to see if my library has any of them. p.s. I listen to all kinds of audiobooks - in fact my two all time favorites are a general fiction (the help) and a YA book (the book thief). I also listened to Whiskey Sour, and liked it, but my library doesn't have the others in the series on audio.
