Well, I listened to it on audio and didn't really like the narrator much, and I thought it was kind of...scattered at times. But definitely worth a read!
Haha, yeah, I'd had it sitting around staring at me for quite awhile before I finally read it as well. Sometimes in the book Eire seems really bitter (for good reason, I suppose), but it's also really funny at times, especially the stories of his early childhood.
Hope you like it too--I think it's one of the best ones I've read so far this year.
Awesome, I just downloaded Odd and the Frost Giants to my Kindle, I'm going to read it next!

The Orphan Master's Son by Adam Johnson - 4 stars [review] finished 4/21/13"Hi Warnie B - I had somewhat of a similar reaction but stuck with it and it sure was an interesting read. I was my first book in North Korea and not having the benefit of having read the nonfiction book you mentioned it was a bit difficult. But having read a bunch of info on the country it was very believable but disconcerting. Glad I finished it and I learned a lot.
Lilisa, I definitely recommend Nothing to Envy if you're interested in reading more about North Korea at some point--it's a really fantastic book. Glad you were able to enjoy this one though--I thought it was such an interesting story!
