This is a new teen cyberpunk retelling of Cinderella. I am not prone to reading cyberpunk as it usually requires more computer knowledge than I have to understand what is what. That said, this is accessible to those of us who usually don't read this type of book. It is set in a post apocalyptic world, and has a lot of science for your fiction. The idea that Cinder is a cyborg living in a world that is trying to exist after W.W.IV. Cinder is the best mechanic ever and is found by the prince to fix his android.
An ever looming war with the Lunars who live on the moon and a plague that has no cure color their world. The story line is fine, but the author has a tendency to wax between teens being smart and stupid all at the same time, often in the same paragraph. Frequently blatant "hey, this person is really bad" and "hey, guess how important this is going to be" moments colored this book for me. I am not sure if I will read the next 3 (it will be quartet) as I am not sure that the author will settle down in her style.
