Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Hello, HEA lovers!

I'm putting together a post for the USA Today Happily Ever After blog for Valentine's Day. I'm looking for things you've done for your SO that were inspired by romance novels.

For example, did you read about a hero warming a towel in the dryer for after her shower and then do the same thing for your honey? Or about a heroine who made fresh squeezed orange juice because the hero made an offhand comment on how much he loves it, so you did the same?

Let me know your story and the book that inspired it here, and I'll get more info from you as I pull it all together. And let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!!

Bookswithbenefits | 6 comments Hey Abigail, We're getting more and more successful with our Romance in Real Life adventures. Today, I sang in public and managed to garner a lot of attention. Tomorrow we'll post our video adventure as "damsels in distress." I hope you're getting some good info!

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Actually, no. :) I wanted to make the post reader based, but I might do the reverse and ask authors what romantic things they've experienced have ended up in their novels.

Darlene Deluca (darlenedeluca) | 488 comments Cute topic, Abigail. I'll let you know if I think of something! Unfortunately, I think what I write for my books is generally more romantic than what happens in my real life! :-)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments I know, right? *laugh*

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments I'm going to start taking notes when I do it so I'll remember. :)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments I know I've been inspired to do things but I can't think of a particular book or scene. Mostly, little things like candlelight, dinner on the table set romantically, sexy lingerie.

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments You know, I don't think I've ever had a candlelight dinner.

Giulia | 1756 comments Well Abigail, too late for your post I know, but I've actually had some really romantic moments that thinking back, were romance novel like. Like, kissing in the rain, kissing outside on a snowy night. One of my dates actually asked me if he could kiss me. So glad I said yes hehe. Nothing really big, just small moments really. That involved a lot of kissing :)

That is so funny! My hubby asked me if he could kiss me the first time! I think that was one of the things that really attracted me to him. His patience and understanding.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I think that is neat - when they ask.

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Hmmmmm... Maybe I'll try this blog post again next year. :)

My first kiss asked if he could kiss me. And then I giggled every time he tried.

Giulia | 1756 comments No, my first kids--the one in the snow--didn't ask. He just stole a butterfly kiss ;) This was another guy years later who asked. It made the moment super romantic.
