Highlyeccentric | 4 comments I signed up for 'mixed' and 'miles' out of indecision. I could probably read a Franklin worth of mixed books, but I'm considering doing something odder and more restrictive. Poetry, perhaps? My other goal for the year is to read more poetry, so that'd dovetail nicely.

More updates when I make up my mind...

Highlyeccentric | 4 comments Well, as my current fixation seems to be on poetry, let it be noted that I'm currently reading

- The Oxford Book of Australian Women's Verse (ed. Susan Lever)
- The Poems of Lesbia Harford (ed. Nettie Palmer / digital edition University of Sydney Library)

I'm not quite sure where to go from there - possibly the more recent edition of Lesbia Harford's works, for comparison's sake.

Brenda :) Just lets us check out what you're reading much easier:)

Highlyeccentric | 4 comments Update: finished reading, and reviewed, both

The Oxford Book of Australian Women's Verse and
The Poems of Lesbia Harford.

Reviews are under those links, or here at my Dreamwidth (along with two other books finished in April). My review of Lever's anthology focuses on the art of anthology-editing and the relative value of literary and historical priorities; my review of Lesbia Harford's poems is less structured, but makes some comments on the limited view of early Australian history I still have.
