I'll offer two that I've used. Both are web-based writing motivators.
Write or Die - Web App
It motivates you to keep writing continuously for the programmed amount of time. You can choose a few different modes. In Gentle Mode a popup will remind you to get back to writing if you've stopped. In Normal Mode it will play annoying sounds to get you back to work. In Kamakazi Mode it will start deleting what you've written. Electric shock mode exists, too, but has no funtion yet. It's also available on iPad and dekstop.
Now for the kind alternative to Write or Die.
Written Kitten is a much kinder writing motivator, if you like kittens. Every 100 (by default, it is adjustable) words you write, you'll get a new kitten picture.
