Brandon | 13 comments In my novel Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer a guy really rich decides to go into the wild in the blink of a an eye.A young man one is not feeling good about his life and decides to erase his life completely by this he come to a conclusion that he needs to leave everything about him behind in his mansion and leave. When this choice is made he gives $25,000 to a charity and burns the rest.He leaves his car and disappears for the world. In the book it states "He was determined. Real gung ho. The word that comes to mind is exited. He couldn't wait to head out there and get started."(6).This quote showed that he was so determined to leave he did even want to listen to the driver of the car. Also I think that it is a little hard.

Corey | 43 comments In the non-fiction novel Chew On This by Eric Schlosser, I would recommend this book to the fast food group. This book tells us everything about all of the fast food places and what they do to get people to buy their product. We learn more about McDonald's history and how they make their food. Many people think that McDonald makes people fat. Chew On This proves to us how people get fat when they eat it and why you shouldnt go to these fast food places. "Once you're got so many fat cells, it's hard to get rid of them."This quote shows that you can get fat and it would be hard to get rid of that fat. I would recommend this book to the Fast food group because this book can help them with their fat problems. They can stop going at fast food. Therefore, I would recommend this book to the fast food group.

Ilijah A | 40 comments I would recommend my fiction book, Lord Loss by Darren Shan to a person who likes demons or just horror in general. The reason I would recommend this book to someone who likes horror is because the book is about a boy named Grubitsch "Grubbs" who is a teenager. His family members are obsessed with chess. one day his family has to leave and leaves him with his aunt Kate's house. He wants to find out where they went so he sneaked out and ran home to check there first. When he got there he went upstairs only to find his parents room filled with blood. He looked around and saw his mother, father, and sister cut up and killed. he went to his sister and a demonic figure appeared. "The last of the Grady's. You should not be here. Your parent wished to spare you this heartache. Why did you come?"(24). This quotes show the demon figure telling Grubbs that he should not have come to see his parents and his sisters sick, twisted death. Grubbs is to much in shock to say anything and wishes it was all a dream.

Wesley | 50 comments In Kate Cary's fictional novel, Bloodline, I would reccomend this novel to people who like a romantic novel with a little gore. In the novel,John and Mary(his fiance) are going to Transylvania to stop the wedding of Quincy (Captain Harker) and Mary(his sister), They meet her and she was fine. Quincey is a vampire, Dracula's grandson and that explains his super human strength. They reach Lily and find out their mother is still alive and is a vampire. This book is gory because "A moment later, the body fell twisting in the air and smashing on the cobbles. The wolves fell upon it and i could hear their greed snarls as they fought over the flesh"(269) this quotes shows how violent it is. It paints a visual picture in my mind, on how graphic the novel is. This novel also has some romance in it. It has kissing and how the person felt. This novel is written like dairy journal so the writer wouldn't have any shame write the way they felt. There for I would recommend this novel to those who like romance with action.

The Privilege of Youth: A Teenager's Story

In Dave Pelzer's autobiography non-fiction The Privilege of Youth, I would recommend this novel to . In the novel, Dave was at school and describe himself 'sort of trouble' which actually gets him into huge problems. Dave was at 1st period of class and saw the boy and met him and his friends. Dave was the new kid in town which is a bad thing. One of the boys tricked he that his classmate that is a girl who liked him. Dave was excited and confused. The boy said you called them a horror. Dave was very confused. The boy said Girls like that. So Dave went along and said it to his classmate. He said "Hi.... You are the prettiest-looking horror I've ever seen, (20)." The girl was ignoring him. He was wondering what went wrong and figured it out. This quote shows that Dave was talking to the cool boys and made a huge mistake and took their advice. This proves the author's experience because he didn't knew everybody because he was new to the school and was prank/tease by the other kids and was ashamed. Therefore, I would recommend this novel to any teens out there who need help with situation and need advice from the author's experience.

Andy Chen | 44 comments In Daniel Keyes science fiction novel, Flowers for Algernon, I would recommend this book to some person who enjoys reading science fiction and emotion and happiness. This book is about a boy named Charlie Gordon, who is mentally retarded and has a low IQ. He is looking forward to have more tests of his IQ improvement and becoming a genius later on when he becomes tested in a machine which he will be the first to try it out because of animal use. Charlie stated,"Im so thrild to show tat I can be as smart as my parent and mye sister Norma." This quote shows Charlie's happiness of becoming as smart as other people. I would recommend readers that enjoy science fiction and emotions and happiness because this book is very interesting and kids who likes science, this is the right book. Because this book talks about a machine that will change Charlie's IQ to becoming smarter, I would recommend this book to them. Therefore, this is why I would recommend this book to kids who likes reading about science + fiction.

Bryan | 41 comments In Mitch Albom's non-fiction book, Tuesdays With Morrie, Iwould recommend this book. In the book, Morrie seemed to be everyone favorite guy, he was a great teacher, an exellent dancer, and now a great docter, who now works at a mental hospital just outside of Washington D.C. "The Morrie I knew, Would not have been the man he was without the years he spent working at a mental hospital" (109). This shows that Morrie is like the special guy to Mitch and to everyone else in their town, which is why I should that people out there should read this book to see more about Morrie and how he is a cool guy.

Yamil Cifuentes | 40 comments In Julia Alvarez's non-fiction novel, Before We Were Free, I would recommend this novel to people who like events in the 1960s. If people were around the 1960s, then they will be into it. A twelve year old girl lives in the Dominican republic in 1960. Her uncle disappeared and her father tries to find her uncle. Her father is desperate to find her uncle. The father states, "I will not rest until I find my brother (her uncle)." This quote shows how desperate he is to find his brother.

Sydney Mok (SydneyMok) | 43 comments I would recommend the non- fiction memoir Yell- Oh Girls! by Vickie Nam to anyone who is made fun of because of their culture or they way they look. This book is about different stories that Asian girls told about their life as a child. People who are made fun of because of their race, culture, etc, should read this book because these things happen to many people and they will get to know how other people feel about themselves and how others feel about them.
" I am a girl. I am an Asian American girl. For a time in my life I was just an American girl and shortly after that I was just an Asian girl" (76). This quote shows that sometimes people don't know what they are in life. Everyone is making them be someone they aren't and so if you read this book you can see that you should always be what you want to be instead of changing yourself to be like the people around you.

Jamilah B | 37 comments In Mitch Albom's non fiction novel, Tuesdays with Morrie, I would recommend this book to everyone because this book gives really good advice and teaches you a lot about life. This book so far is really go im only on page 52 and it makes me want to keep reading until the end. It's a very sad book, and i think everyone should read it. "you know I'm going to die?" he said (36) This quote from the book is really sad because knowing that your going to die soon is a really hard thing to go through, but the person in my book is celebrating his life the best way he can because he wants to make the best of it, and that really shows hoe such an amazing person Morrie is.

Aaron | 29 comments In Jon scieszka nonfiction book Guys Write for Guys Read i would recomend this book to boys who would like to learn about life lessons when they get older because this book teaches you the importance of achieveing things and humor and gross things just like what a average kid would do."Inside this book are stories, memories, comic strips, poems, drawings, advice, schemes, jokes, dreams, action packed, sad, goofy, gross, touching, stupid, true and all very short."(8) This qoute means that the book is filled with all sorts of awesome things that a boy could think of in the top of his head it is boys favorite authors writing about being boys. Therefore I would recommend this book to any boy because this book is about boys being boys.
