Shélah (gingerkid1984) | 3 comments Looking for the title of a book I read in the second term of grade 5, which would have been 1996.

It was in the sci-fi genre.

The main characters were named Adam and Eve (they would have been around 12). Eve had red hair, Adam had dark brown or black hair.

I believe earth was colonizing the moon (although this is a bit hazy to me).

Thanks to anyone who can help!

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress has an important character named Adam. There's no one named Eve that I recall, and Adam is not 12, exactly.

Adam & No Eve by Alfred Bester sounds interesting, but may not be the right tale.

Nor dark haired, exactly :-)

Hey, Adam looked however he wanted to look. If he wanted to be 12 he COULD have been. Serious fan of Mike/Adam from that book. In fact, my first "real" crush was on Mike. I was brokenhearted when (view spoiler)

Shélah (gingerkid1984) | 3 comments Looks interesting, but not the right book. There was definitely an Eve...

Thanks for the suggestion!

Cheryl (cherylllr) There was some YA and Juv. fiction written back then, and earlier, that introduced kids to SF themes - I think maybe we need to concentrate our brains on authors like William Sleator and Pamela F. Service, for example. :)

I was also brokenhearted over Mike. I LOVED this book, and it is on my all time favorite list.

Kate--I still (after 30 plus years) go back periodically and re-read it. Even if the technology IS dated, the story is timeless.

Ayshe | 4720 comments Herbert Urlin Bevis's To Luna With Love appears to be about colonizing the moon but I can't find whether there are Adam and Eve.
