Any exciting plans for the last weekend in January?

Recovering from a cold. I plan on getting lots of sleep. Woo hoo!

We're in the middle of an ice storm so it looks like a weekend inside. Hey, any excuse to do a lot of reading works for me!

My son has a basketball game tonight, tomorrow is home improvement day and my husband's office party (which I'm not over-enthused about), and Sunday is church and the Pro Bowl (which I will read through).

I love being "trapped" at home with a bunch of books. But stay safe from the ice!

Well, we showed up to the game only to discover that there was no game. The principal forgot or something, so the gym was all locked up. Then someone "in charge" came out and said we couldn't play tonight and to immediately vacate the school campus and they would be turning on the cameras. It felt as though we had been trespassing, rather than showing up for a scheduled game. It was very strange.

That's pretty weird. Are you going to follow up with the school? Seems as if they have a notification system that didn't include you.

It was weird. Both teams showed up, ready to go. We're definitely following up with the league to make sure this doesn't happen again. Especially since we're scheduled to play at another school next week. Normally we play at a really nice indoor basketball complex, but for whatever reason they scheduled a few games at local schools (which doesn't seem right considering what we paid to play in the league). And on and on she rants...
