Ok, so I was thinking about this last night. I thought "Lady Midnight" was a pretty peculiar name so I started hypothersising what it could be.

I had this weird crack-pot theory that Lady Midnight was going to be a person. So then I thought it could be an obscure reference to Maureen (at first I thought Camille, but then shes dead so...) because Midnight its kind of like the "night children" and then maybe this one could involve the new head of the vampire clan (who is a lady)?

Well thats what i was thinkig, but I'd love to hear your crazy ass theories. I'm pretty sure mines well off, but its fun to think about :)

Do you guys think it could be referring to Maureen or a new head of the vampire clan?

Good theory but I am not sure...I thought maybe Lady Midnight could be Emma Carstairs-one of the main characters but as to why she'd be called, "lady midnight," I have no idea...Maybe because she's dark or has a dark past, something she is hiding? It could be a reference to vampires as well, because they are the children of the night...Hmm I never thought of it that way before.

As far as Maureen goes, I can't see Maureen living past CoHF because she's after all, a rogue vampire...

I thought bout it a bit more too. I don't think Maureen will live past CoHF either (at least I hope not!)

Maybe, Lady Midnight will be Emma, and maybe she has this kind of nickname, because she's so badass, being the best shadowhunter since Jace. Now, I'm generally curious. Could it also be the rise of a new antagonist, a female one perhaps? hmmm....

Every time I hear "Lady Midight" though, I think of Camille! Its just sounds so much like her!

Emma could be an antagonist in a sense like she's originally a good character who later turns dark or maybe there's something dark in her past we find out later about. But it could be we're analyzing this too much and that's just a nickname for her...I wish we had more information regarding this book. :(

Haha so do I. So do I... I think it sounds like a kick-ass nickname for her though, so now I hope it is. Could you imagine os intense demon scene, where Emma busts in all geared up: "Ahhh it's Lady Midnight!!! Runnnn"

I have thought it was describing Emma from the beginning because why not? I mean, of course the the title would be describing the main character, right? So I don't think it'd be Maureen. And Maureen is the head of the New York clan, and the story is set in Los Angeles, so I don't think it would be Maureen. Maybe it references to a female vampire, but I don't think it's Maureen. And I don't think Maureen is going to live through CoHF so

The Maureen thing is a good idea but I don't think that's it. From what I read, Emma is looking for revenge on the demons who killed her parents in the fight in COLS. so maybe it's a demon.

Lady midnight could be a name of a sword or something like a really powerful sword like the mortal sword or it could also be a code word or a name of an evil club like the pandemonium club

Though I believe it to be a good theory, one must think that maybe it's no character at all, I mean, 'Clockwork Princess' isn't a character but just a kick-ass name, why wouldn't this be much the same?

I like the titles. I like how they have a theme or likeness to each other so you know they are in the same series.

Miss perfection I like that too, I find that often if I'm reading another series with names completely different I can't tell whether I'm looking at the right series or not so I love how she does that, it also sounds really nice too how the names are all very similar.

A lot of people don't like it when author makes the names sound the same which I don't get :( I'm probably going to ask someone about it once.

I think it's about Camille! The books never confirmed she was dead, only Maureen's words, which I don't trust haha

I think it's one of the downworlders. Probably a faerie. Does anyone know when Lady Midnight is actually released?
