2. You may only use 1 Book for each task and that book can only be used for 1 category.

3. Each book must be over 100 pages.

4. Rereads count.

5. If you are currently reading a book that falls into one of the categories and are NOT more than 50% done, it counts.

6. Books do not all have to be paranormal, but it would be cool if you fit in as many as possible. ;)

7. Have fun with this!!!

Whoever makes it to the top 5 when all the points are added up will get to chime in with category ideas for the next challenge!!
Challenge starts....NOW until 3/27. (2 months) How many points can you rack up in that time????

Idea for this challenge derived from : The Book Club Challenge Blog.

Sorry Gabby, but no. It should be more real than a fictionalized "zombie-like" epidemic. Know what I mean? That's why it is worth more points. Something more like a tsunami, or a biological weapon...something that could actually, really happen.

Jill (adecentmelody) This sounds fun. :) I don't read very fast so I'm not sure how far I'll get, but still fun.

So far: 13 points.

Since I saw this today, and I keep track of the dates I've finished every book I've read so far this year (not very many at all really), I'll only count books I read after the start date of Jan 27th. Even though I'm joining the challenge now, is it still okay that I include those? Lmk.

Jill (adecentmelody) Question: Does Armageddon count as a disaster for 10 points? :D

message 41: by Cristina (new)

Cristina (mrsbudryzer) | 371 comments Jill - yes, add all the books that apply that are within the challenge date

As for Armageddon, ummmm, sounds like it would count!! Which one exactly? When I searched, I got too many results. :)

message 42: by Jill (new)

Jill (adecentmelody) I'm reading Good Omens. And from what I've gathered so far, the whole thing is about Armageddon. :)

Cristina (mrsbudryzer) | 371 comments Yes indeedy then. As long as the events actually happen in the story and not just "talked" about.

Gabby | 906 comments Wait a second, Does beautiful creatures count for "read a book that will soon be made into a movie" or "read a book that has been made into a movie" Or both?

message 45: by Jill (new)

Jill (adecentmelody) I'd say has been. Even though it didn't come out until February, the making of the movie was already done.

But I'm not in charge of the challenge. :D

message 46: by Cristina (new)

Cristina (mrsbudryzer) | 371 comments What I meant by "will soon by made into a movie" was : has not yet been released....not actually "going to be made" as in, still in the hands of the studios.

Symantex. Ya got me. When I wrote this up, Beautiful Creatures was not yet released. So, that book counts for this challenge.
