Here's the topic for discussing the Clue of the Broken Locket. What are your thoughts about it? Have you read it yet? Planning to read it? :-)

Alex Grant | 16 comments The clue of the broken locket is great! The main story is that Nancy and her friends must help a girl to find an iron bird.Nancy is inclined to believe that there's a clue in the iron bird to the girl's family fortune. How Nancy and her friends solve this mystery and outwit the bad guys leaves everyone excited until the end.:D(Is my description too descriptive?)

Andrea (buttondoll) Just got this one today at used book store, along with Twisted Candles. I keep adding to my collection. I'm curious, what is the average number of books most members own? Does anyone have All of them?

Tara ♪ I remember liking this one. And i only own a few of them for real, but I do have several on kindle. (Not the same, though.) i plan on starting my collection with my absolute favorites that I want to re-read very badly and then getting the ones that I didn't absolutely love. ;-)

I agree, Alex - The Clue of the Broken Locket is excellent! :) And nope, what you wrote isn't too descriptive. :)

Nope, I don't have every Nancy Drew book, Andrea. I have quite a few though - some new, some used, some ebooks. And I have access to more books (family members/friends). Plus there are libraries with a lot of them available. :)

That sounds like an excellent plan, Tara - to get your favorites. :) I love adding good ones to my collection that I want to read and read again. :)

I read most of my Nancy Drew from the library, but my family has kept some from when I was younger, so I have a couple of the yellow cover ones. I've collected a few of the newer paperback books, too. :-) I agree, Tara and Ann! I like the idea of collecting your favorite Nancy books :-)

Cool, Charmaine! :) It's great to have them to read again! :) And it really works out pretty well to read them from the library first to see if you want them. Love doing that! :)

Andrea (buttondoll) Plan on starting this book this weekend. Sounds like it will be a good one based on the comments....

Andrea (buttondoll) Wow, I really do like this one so far! I love the fact that there are multiple little mysteries going on. And, of course, Nancy has already been trapped on a roof, and chased an intruder! That girl gets more done before breakfast, than I do all day!

Andrea (buttondoll) Finished. I really did like this one very much! Probably one of my favorites so far. I read Trixie Belden when I was a girl, and only a few of Nancy Drew, so I am joining the party a little late. I am thinking of reading the Clue of the Tapping Heels next. I picked it up a couple of years ago at a book sale for 50 cents.
Anyway, I was very happy with the ending of Locket. I think it is funny though, how the mystery just gets solved, and Nancy is already "wistful" for a new mystery!

Tara ♪ Yes, I really do like this one, too.

I love that there are multiple mysteries, also, Andrea! And the exciting danger that makes me feel like I'm right there keeps me reading anxiously! She does get a lot done, doesn't she - lol! :D :)
