Romance Lovers for the Challenge-Impaired discussion

Amelia Cynster hears these words from handsome, enigmatic Lucien Ashford, 6th Viscount Calverton, and is stunned. Not as a group. I actually read it first since its Devil's parents. I think Kit read it, but Shosho opted not to.

I read it back in 2010 since it was like a prequel. Don't really remember it though, so I might reread it at some point. :)

I read the first chapter, I hope they get married soon in chapter 2 or 3. I like the story lines like this ,getting married without love at the startof the book

I'm working today (have worked all week) and my reading is behind so I won't get to start this till tonight at the earliest. With that said, I won't be doing the 1st set of questions, but I'll take the second set :)

I'm definitely liking Luc so far, and so glad Amelia is smart enough to realize she can work on the love stuff after they get married instead of being like a 14 year old about it like Amanda...

Yeah, I liked Luc, too. He was one of my favorites in this series.

This is my firts book from Author Stephanie Laurens. I know that her Cynster series are pretty popular, but I never read one before. I usually avoid series where there are way too many books, I just can't keep up with who's in the book. But I like to give this one a try.
So far I like it. The twist in the plot rather intriguing and both Luc and Amelia are good, but they don't wow me, at least in the first 4 chapters, lets see if that change.
Question, what exatcly Edward did? Is it explained in previous book?

Edward is Luc's brother and he killed a man and everyone thought their cousin did it. He is last book's villain

I just finished chapter 7 ,but I'm not into it. I don't understand their plan

Doin it in thirds is fine with me :) I'm still on ch 5. I was busier than I figured I'd be yesterday. I'm aiming for reading today :)

No I think this one is slow and really doesn't have anything new to offer , they are just sneaking around and making out. I hope at least we get some good mystery .I doubt it tho

It's slow. And I'm irritated with the whole dragging it out crap. Rawr! Just freakin' get it over with, who gives a rat's tailcheeks what the ton thinks, my goodness, I'd never marry a guy who was so obsessed with what other people think!

The mystery has only been briefly hinted at. And I think it's (view spoiler)[Fiona. (hide spoiler)] but y'all know I suck at figuring things out lol

And I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this dragging.

No you're right ,that's why I said that I doubted there will be a good mystery .

@ ShoSho and Kit Thanks ladies for clear that up to me. That was so horrible, and I wondering why on earth (view spoiler)[ someone risk her reputation by stealing for his welfare (hide spoiler)] not cool!!!
I must say I'm not into this book, I already on chap 13 or so but it seems lacking.The mystery there is not that mysterious. I think I figured out who that "unnamed lady" from the first scene. To be honest, the reason why she did that is one of main reason I keep reading, considering that Edward is jerk :(

Kit★'s Questions for Chapters 1-8

1. Ok, so first off what do you think of the little intro scene there, Luc's drunkenness, and her proposal, and then his collapse? I thought it was attention-getting, and I couldn't help but laugh. Thoughts?

2. Alright, he agreed easily enough. So I was hoping they'd get married like right away. I'm not the only one, right? I'm thinking this book may have been a little faster-paced and dare I say it, more interesting if they'd gone that route. You?

3. So what do you think of Amelia so far? Is she just like Amanda, or is she totally different? How do you like her being unafraid and ready to take charge and make demands?

4. What about Luc? He seems a little different than the Cynster-y Cynsters we've read so far, or maybe it's just because I'm sleep-deprived. Lol. How do you like him and his bossiness?

5. Ugh, why do they have to drag it out? Blah?

6. Ok, so I'm not as enthralled with all the kissing as I was with the last book. Though I gotta say I'm glad they're not boinking in public every day like Amanda was. Seems like they're maybe a little smarter about choices of locale too, huh? But are you thinking what I'm thinking and that somebody, anybody, should walk in and catch them getting freaky so we can speed it up a bit?

7. The mystery... are you surprised it is something to do with Edward? Have you solved the case already?

8. At last they get to the final 'temple' on the road to wherever the heck they're going. Are you as tired of all the purple as I am? I was thinking 'gag me with a spoon' when he started talking about how they had to go slow to visit the temples of seduction, and yada, yada, blah, blah, yawn. Gimme a break. Or did it make sense to you? :)

1- I loved it one of the few scenes I loved so far; ) Funny
2-no you're not the only one I was hoping for them to marry right away and carry on from there, it would have more interesting and so different from the books, right now it doesn't feel like a new book!
3-I think she is a bit different, she is not my nerves,yet. I liked that she chose what she wanted and hasn't backed out or doubted her decision.
4-He is different at least he admits to himself that he has feelings toward her. I don't mind his bossiness as long as Amanda isn't listening to him and does what she wants.
5-I skipped ALL the make out scenes so far and a lot of other stuff .So blah
6-Yep my thoughts exactly, please please let someone see them.
7-yep (view spoiler)[ Fiona is stealing stuff and passing to this guy, and there is the possibility that Edward is not behind it at all and someone else is trucking telling Fiona to steal stuff for him. (hide spoiler)]
8-nope it didn't, his plan to seduce her and the marry was a bit stupid to me .and those temple and stuff was boring as he'll just like you said blah blah.

Off to read more, I'm on chapter 12 Its getting better

I'm either in ch 12 or 13, at the 50% mark. My daughter and I are going prom dress shopping today, so I'll read and get my questions up as soon as I can :)
