On a Wicked Dawn by Stephanie Laurens (Cynster #9) Start Feb. 15

Not I. Didn't want to think what the future held for those two.

Our monthly buddy read for the series is so fun. Hope you enjoy it too, have you read the others?

Thanks ShoSho (^^ゞ
This will be my first book from Stephanie Lauren.

Will you be joining us?

Great! So glad you'll be with us :)

So far I like it. The twist in the plot rather intriguing and both Luc and Amelia are good, but they don't wow me, at least in the first 4 chapters, lets see if that change.
Question, what exatcly Edward did? Is it explained in previous book?

Edward is Luc's brother and he killed a man and everyone thought their cousin did it. He is last book's villain

Not to mention he (view spoiler) He was a bad apple.
Ok I'm gonna do the questions for like chapter 1-8 or something this time since we've been doing it in thirds the last couple times, does that work for you guys? If so, I'll have em up tomorrow sometime :)

:(

No I think this one is slow and really doesn't have anything new to offer , they are just sneaking around and making out. I hope at least we get some good mystery .I doubt it tho

No you're right ,that's why I said that I doubted there will be a good mystery .

I must say I'm not into this book, I already on chap 13 or so but it seems lacking. The mystery there is not that mysterious. I think I figured out who that "unnamed lady" from the first scene. To be honest, the reason why she did that is one of main reason I keep reading, considering that Edward is jerk :(

1. Ok, so first off what do you think of the little intro scene there, Luc's drunkenness, and her proposal, and then his collapse? I thought it was attention-getting, and I couldn't help but laugh. Thoughts?
2. Alright, he agreed easily enough. So I was hoping they'd get married like right away. I'm not the only one, right? I'm thinking this book may have been a little faster-paced and dare I say it, more interesting if they'd gone that route. You?
3. So what do you think of Amelia so far? Is she just like Amanda, or is she totally different? How do you like her being unafraid and ready to take charge and make demands?
4. What about Luc? He seems a little different than the Cynster-y Cynsters we've read so far, or maybe it's just because I'm sleep-deprived. Lol. How do you like him and his bossiness?
5. Ugh, why do they have to drag it out? Blah?
6. Ok, so I'm not as enthralled with all the kissing as I was with the last book. Though I gotta say I'm glad they're not boinking in public every day like Amanda was. Seems like they're maybe a little smarter about choices of locale too, huh? But are you thinking what I'm thinking and that somebody, anybody, should walk in and catch them getting freaky so we can speed it up a bit?
7. The mystery... are you surprised it is something to do with Edward? Have you solved the case already?
8. At last they get to the final 'temple' on the road to wherever the heck they're going. Are you as tired of all the purple as I am? I was thinking 'gag me with a spoon' when he started talking about how they had to go slow to visit the temples of seduction, and yada, yada, blah, blah, yawn. Gimme a break. Or did it make sense to you? :)

2-no you're not the only one I was hoping for them to marry right away and carry on from there, it would have more interesting and so different from the books, right now it doesn't feel like a new book!
3-I think she is a bit different, she is not my nerves, yet. I liked that she chose what she wanted and hasn't backed out or doubted her decision.
4-He is different at least he admits to himself that he has feelings toward her. I don't mind his bossiness as long as Amanda isn't listening to him and does what she wants.
5-I skipped ALL the make out scenes so far and a lot of other stuff .So blah
6-Yep my thoughts exactly, please please let someone see them.
7-yep (view spoiler)
8-nope it didn't, his plan to seduce her and the marry was a bit stupid to me .and those temple and stuff was boring as he'll just like you said blah blah.
Off to read more, I'm on chapter 12 Its getting better

I'll answer questions when I get on the computer in a little bit.

1. Ok, so first off what do you think of the little intro scene there, Luc's drunkenness, and her proposal, and then his collapse? I thought it was attention-getting, and I couldn't help but laugh. Thoughts? I liked it :)
2. Alright, he agreed easily enough. So I was hoping they'd get married like right away. I'm not the only one, right? I'm thinking this book may have been a little faster-paced and dare I say it, more interesting if they'd gone that route. You? yep, I wish they'd have gotten married right away. I don't understand why they needed to wait. Who cares what the ton thinks
3. So what do you think of Amelia so far? Is she just like Amanda, or is she totally different? How do you like her being unafraid and ready to take charge and make demands? I like Amelia, she seems to be different than Amanda.
4. What about Luc? He seems a little different than the Cynster-y Cynsters we've read so far, or maybe it's just because I'm sleep-deprived. Lol. How do you like him and his bossiness? I don't think he's a bossy as the other men were, could be cause he's not a Cynster. I like that Luc admits to himself that he loves her, I hate that he is afraid to let her know yet everyone and their brother can tell
5. Ugh, why do they have to drag it out? Blah? Yep, I feel like it's dragging too
HAHAHA I do like that they're a little more hidden. At least there's not any family members guarding doors for them ;)
7. The mystery... are you surprised it is something to do with Edward? Have you solved the case already? I think I have. I want to know where Edward is though
:) I understand why he was trying to go slow and seduce her, but why not give her what she wanted and make it good? Then she'd definitely want to come back for more and would fall in love then ;)

Amelia Cynster hears these words from handsome, enigmatic Lucien Ashford, 6th Viscount Calverton, and is stunned. It's near dawn and she's risked scandal by lying in wait for him just outside his London house. But he agrees to her outrageous marriage proposal - just prior to falling unconscious at her feet. Amelia is torn between astounded relief and indignant affront, then decides she doesn't care. She has always loved him - no other man will do for her - and she's tired of waiting.
Sometimes a young lady needs to take matters into her own hands.
But matters of the heart are never that simple. The first hitch in Amelia's plans comes when Luc refuses to agree to a hasty wedding, but insists on properly wooing her...in public and in private. Soon she longs for those moments away from the watchful gaze of the ton in which she can learn all about seduction from a master. But unknown to Amelia, Luc has a very good reason for wooing her.
Every wicked gentleman has his price.
