As I was perusing the Internet on my iPad I started to think about how many gizmos I have that are under my roof. Let's just say the list is long and extensive.

Now, with that being said, what's the coolest "techie" device that you own? I'll start. Of all the devices I have, the coolest one is the gizmo my wife bought for me last Xmas. It's Orion's StarSeeker wifi module. It attaches to my 8" Meade LX90's serial port and allows my astronomy app on my iPad to take control of my scope. I tap a star/planet/comet, etc., and it'll tell my telescope to look at the object in question.

If you like looking at the stars, it's a "Must Have"! :)

No one has anything? Come on! Am I the only tech geek here?

I'll even give another one. My universal remote. It's a Logitech Harmony remote. I have it running every electronic device on my entertainment center, including my Xbox 360 and my electric fireplace. I call it the Overlord's Sceptre.

Yeah, my wife thinks I'm nuts.

Robert C. Adams (robertcadams) | 1 comments I have a distortion pedal. It must have alchemical powers because it turns everything into metal!

Mbox is handy also.

Overlord's Scepter is cool. Wish I had one that worked on the world and people especially mute, volume, play, record, rewind and pause. :)

Lol!

Susan Jones (sujones) | 13 comments My coolest gadget would be my "beer bottle opener". Sometimes the simplest of things are the things most needed. :D

B. Throwsnaill (bthrowsnaill) | 208 comments My wife got me strips of LED lights mounted in clear plastic with adhesive on the back. Makes the perfect lighting for my basement arcade. It has a little remote control that allows you to control the color and even make it cycle or flash if you are feeling boisterous.

Basement arcade? So jealous! My dream rec room will have a couple of full size arcade games in it. Maybe a pinball game. Gotta find the Funball unit. It's my wife's favorite pinball game. Just the fact I could say that last sentence makes me love her that much more. :)

Kira (kiratregoning) | 10 comments I think probably the coolest gadget I have is the iPad. I can do so much with it! I love it. But sadly, I don't have much else in the way of gadgetry. =(

M.R. Jenks (mjenks6) | 74 comments Well, mine is more of an app, but I have to say my writing program Scrivener is pretty amazing. iPad is a close second, though!

M.R. Jenks (mjenks6) | 74 comments Jeffrey, my dream arcade would have Super Mario, Galaga, M.S. Pac Man, Super Metroid . . . Hmm, what else?

Mine would have Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Return of the Jedi, and several pinball games. My wife loves FunHouse, though I've never played it. I love any pinball!

M.R. Jenks (mjenks6) | 74 comments Ah, forgot about Donkey Kong. Definitely on my list, not to mention a famous 3-level pinball game called Haunted House.

Steph Bennion (stephbennion) | 178 comments I have a cool gadget that lets me turn my broadband router on and off via the TV remote. Anyway, the telephone engineer was impressed.

R.A. White (rawhite) | 131 comments Mine is something like Susan's-the cheese grater. You can do a lot of things with a cheese grater, if you have the mind to.

I have a food dehydrator that can make some excellent jerky.

Paul Harry (epawar) | 12 comments I own a portable time generator. While it is not good for long distances it does allow me to move back and forth in time several minutes at a time. Needless to say, this has allowed me immense mobility and has gotten me out of several harrowing experiences and embarrassing moments. It has also helped me to win several large bets.
