I absolutely love this book! It was so effective in explaining the idea that success isn't completely about how talented a person is, but rather, the circumstances that brought you there.

One point that is key from this book: TEN THOUSAND HOURS. It will take ten thousand hours of doing what you do best to become successful in that field.

Interestingly, Mozart took 20 years to compose his first truly great masterpiece, according to someone Malcolm Gladwell quoted in his book. I guess someone didn't practice enough...;)

Jeanne (jeanne_voelker) | 50 comments But Mozart began composing as a very young child and music composition is a high level skill. Twenty years to a really great masterpiece? We should all be so fortunate! ;-)
