Of course I like Edward best. But Jacob is very steady. That isn't a very romantic quality, I know. Any comments?

Duh Edward's better. Jacob has friend qualities, only. And, honestly, what's so exciting about Bella being the wife of a werewolf? I mean, come on. Hello! Vampire. Awesome!
He's not even a real werewolf. He's a lame werewolf. The romance in being a werewolf is that it is uncontrollable.
I love Edward... except the cold factor... for lots of reasons...
1. He is a perfect gentleman
2. He is old school....
3. Strong
4. Immortal
5. Freakishly good looking and "understanding"
Despite all of those reasons I do still love Jacob... maybe it is because I have my own personal Jacob (post Bella obsession) and I must say we are the best of friends (huggy and squeazy and flirty type) and I am lucky that his new love interest doesn't mind... I probably would go crazy if I didn't have him.... but I love him like Bella loves Jacob...

I like Jacob as a friend. Nothing more. I totally agree with your 5 reasons for liking Edward. I wouldn't mind the cold part, though. Especially after I was turned into a vampire. I suppose it's a personal preference, so Jacob is just friend material for me.

I love your five reasons! I would add
6. He dazzles you with his crooked smile, voice with the cadences of the nineteenth century, and non-cliche sense of humor.
I don't know any Jacobs, and I can't stir up any affectionate romantic feelings for him.

I guess I wouldn't mind once I was a vampire but now I do like the heat better.... I like your number 6... it is true and I add it to my list.....
I love those reasons! I don't know any Jacobs either. I kind of know a Mike, though. Don't ask...Edward has so many emotions, you can't help wanting to hug him and make him feel better. Or risking your life for his baby that he didn't entirely want.
Haha... that sounds about right... A Mike huh?... that would be interesting... I think I have one too....I haven't thought about that...

He's just a friend who's very loyal. He really is like a lab. We used to joke about him being my yes man/body guard. (I'm in a wheel chair) Clara, you know who I'm talking about, right? Oh wait, she's in NYC right now...Anyway, I don't think he likes me in THAT way. But he's so sweet.

When I was first reading the books, I found myself getting annoyed with Jacob. It's clear Bella isn't going to choose him over Edward; I was practically yelling at him saying, "Jacob, get a life! Go after someone else. She isn't going yours - something isn't working out, buddy."
Jacob has all the qualities of a good friend, and that became very clear in Breaking Dawn, finally!
What else? Oh, I don't have a problem with Edward being cold; I could always wear thicker clothing, or use a blanket. Haha.
So, I guess I agree with all of you, then. :)

Autumn... you're in a wheel chair? That is awesome... (not in the morbid way) I can see how that would create a lot of Mike's... what about Tyler's? Almost kill you and then try to make it up with romance??? The cold would just motivate me to become a vampire so it didn't bother me.... Jacob always had the possibility of Imprinting so that is why I didn't want Bella with him... I liked what Edward said... "I will always be in the wings waiting for when you leave" Good line.....
Wow... this is refreshing... talking to people who actually like the book....

No Tylers. Dad would kill him first. (army dad) OMG! I love that line. I wanted to be a vamp from book one. I just don't see Jacob in that light.
Yeah, I know who Mike is, Autumn. And yes, I want to hug Edward and make everything all okay for him: squeeze all the emptiness out.
Very unfortunatly, I don't know any Edwards(Super-unfortunate), Tylers, Mikes, Eriks, Jacobs, or anybody. I just realised(Sort-of) that I don't know any guys except my brother, dad, and, yeah.
When did Edward say that? I re-read New Moon for the second time without skipping any parts, and when I got to the end, I was barely breathing. Poor Edward. Oh, Edward! He shouldn't be so sad! Seriously, though, for guys to be really woodchippy (cute with personality included)I have to feel sorry for them. I do feel sorry for Jacob, but it hardly affects me profoundly.

He said it in Eclipse if memory serves correct... I know pieces of the guys so some one reminds me partially of Erik or Tyler..... I feel sorry for Jacob too but I just can't choose him.... My dad would too... or just threaten them with the shot gun.... (he has teased me that he would do it....) I wanted to be a vampire from the beginning and as the books progressed I wanted it even more.....

I really felt bad for Jacob, because at times Bella was somewhat encouraging him. Obviously, she didn't intend to, but her actions were so easy to misinterpret. However, I did get annoyed with him. He should have just gotten over her; Bella was never going to end up with him. Oh well, at least that bit worked out in Breaking Dawn.
And yes, Lara, he did say that in Eclipse. Be proud of your brain cells ;)
I don't know if I want to be a vampire. It's really tempting, but living forever ? I am not sure I want that. And I certainly don't want to give up the ability to have children. I'd like children of my own, and that's not entirely possible if you want to be a vampire (what human baby wants a vamp mom?). Bella's case was undeniably rare. She got lucky; she gets a beautiful daughter and she becomes a vampire.
I'd want to be a vampire. And I could help out a lot of kids by adopting them. The only problem I could see is that I'd get bored after a while, maybe. but knowing me, I could always find something else to do.
To me if I had someone to share the life with I wouldn't min... I like to think that I would spent most of my time learning... everything from languages to architecture then the rest of the time using that knowledge.... I think that I would also adopt kids or run some kind of foster care so that I could take care of some one.... I hadn't really thought of that....

That's actually a good thought. I don't know I could adopt human kids too, but then I'd be a vampire mom. And I haven't figured out how that'll work, or if it could work. And I am not sure that if I were a vampire I'd be all to exercise self-control. I certainly don't want to jeopordize the lives of other humans. But, there are many pros of being a vampire. Incredible strength, super powers, ability to learn and master many different things, and possibly spend forever with a "soul-mate." So, that's why I say it's tempting, but I'm not sure. I like being human. ;)
I think that after spending some time learning and mastering self control, then I would try and adopt/foster some children...
Ow, I could learn so many more languages than I'd have a chance to as a human...no I have no doubt about it. French, German, Latin, Greek, Gaelic, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Twi, Edward...this will work.
First I'd have to find my Edward. Then I could be happy being a vampire. After my thirst is under control I could help out by adopting kids. Hmmm. My dream would actually be to have everything turn out like it did for Bella.
I felt bad for Jacob, too. Who didn't? Oh wait, that one girl who told SM she wanted her to kill Jacob. Okay, that's at least one. Let's not get to two.
I don't really know that many guys. Just "Mike." I must admit I'm starting to like the guy that sits next to me in Science. I tell you his name latter Clara.

Oh, that's brutal, Autumn! At the beginning of a weekend! Would I know him? Can you think of some clever coded way to give his name?
If pity weren't so ingrained in my mind, I'd probably make two. But, sadly, it is, so it stays at one. It's close, though.

Make two of what now?
Okay. His first name is the same as "Popular Dude"'s first name. If that's not enough, "Popular Dude" played the Cinderella's Prince in "Into the Woods Jr." last year. Not the same person though. I don't know if you would know him. I don't even get to work with him because he was gone, I was gone. You get the gist.

Two of people who don't fell sorry for Jacob.
There were two princes in Into the Woods, and I mix them up. The red-haired one or the one with brown hair? And any clues on the last name?

His first name is same as the brown haired one. Unfortunately Mrs. K doesn't read out the attendance list so I don't know his last name.
Oh. What color hair does he have? Do you know who he's friends with?
Does he have blond-ish hair and talks a lot?
Does he have brown hair and is friends with Oliver?red-haired prince?

Blond-ish hair. He doesn't talk a lot during class. But he does talk with the guys before class. No, he's not friends with Oliver and red-haired prince.
Which guys? Okay, this conversation means nothing to anyone else, so back to the discussion.
Um...nothing to say.
Um...nothing to say.
Autumn in into the woods the princes were Andrew Wetlaugher and Trevyn Dubois. is that who you mean and who is red-haired prince?
Allison, the whole point is NOT to put their names all over the internet. Other people don't even know them, so let's get back to the discussion. Edward's still mine.

Yeah, I'm sure they would LOVE having stalkers thanks to you Allison. I said fine, Clara. I get Ian O'Shea. None of it will change after you read the Host. Which you will read the Host. Or Allison and I can strap you to a chair and read it to you.

An exact quote: "Dear Edward and Jacob: I adore you both. But I'm spending the weekend with Jace. Sorry! Love, Stephenie" — Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight
taken from Cassandra Clare's myspace...
I don't think she likes Edward then. That's just not right. And the second Jacob, do you mean Jared? Or Jacob. But then she couldn't ditch him.

Oops, I meant Jace instead of Jacob - I edited my comment, but I guess you saw it before I edited. Yes, we are all in love with fictional characters.

I never said anything other than their names for all anyone knows we all could have traveled to Norway and did into the woods together and there are many people (or at least one) that have the same name oh and by the way I call jamie and Clara we will strap you to a chair and read the Host to you (or at least have your parents read it or convince them that it has pretty much less than .01% spinach!!!!!

For anyone confused, spinach means sex.
I'm going to read it - I promise.

I also love Jace and agree that Edward and Jacob could both be ditched for Jace!! And I am glad that he is still "single" (technically) if you don't count Clary!

You better. And what's wrong with saying sex? I mean, we're all old enough to not giggle every time we hear it.
So that other people don't think we're weird. I don't know, I prefer to say spinach. And I can discuss books in church. I'm at church right now, and I feel weirdly guilty typing the word sex. Besides, I'm very immature, Autumn.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that three letter word, but I tend to not use it myself. Spinach is nice code word for that. It must feel weird typing "sex" in church.
