Christine (chrisarrow) I thought the title was neat.

I'm so OCD that i have a spreadsheet with the dates that books come in and go out. It's not pretty, i know...

Steven (wyldemusick) | 183 comments I'm always carrying on about Brian Blessed and Sherpas, so the title amuses me. Honestly, we're talking about Everest here.

I'm picking my titles for this from the assorted stacks and bags around the house, by which I can tell when I got things. New acquisitions get stored out of the way. Mind you, if I really wanted to be certain I was going pre-2013, with no argument, I'd go into the storage boxes that have acquisitions that go back into the 1990s. And would, if I didn't have to depend more on audiobooks these days.

OCDs of the world, unite! ;o)

Steven (wyldemusick) | 183 comments Simple rule of thumb here -- if you acquired them on December 31st 2012 or earlier, they can be counted. Anything acquired on or after January 1st 2013...doesn't count.

Julia (mizzelle) | 46 comments I'm pretty good about remembering to add things to Goodreads these days -- it's anything before I joined that I have trouble remembering. I did go old school at the end of 2012 with a written list just so I'd know when the cut-off would be. Do downloaded but not put on the e-reader count? Because there's stuff I have pre-2013 that I've just never added to my Kindle.

Acquired on or before December 31st, 2012? Absolutely.

Esther (eshchory) For 90% of my books they are added to GR within 24hrs of making it through the front door. If they are already on my To read list I add the purchase date as well.

Ellinor (1001andmore) I'm taking part in so many challenges this year that I'm starting to forget how many :) My main goal is of course to dramatically reduce my tbr pile (that's why I'm here for).
I have several other goals as well: read books from 80+ countries around the world, read books from all 50 states, read lots of books from the 1001 list (bot adult and children versions), from the ultimate teen book guide etc. I'm really planning to read a lot this year.
Oh, and my main goal is to finally finish War and Peace.
