I think it was right for Bella to keep Renesmee. But I wish Edward hadn't been hurting so much. I don't like him being the burning man.

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I think Bella did the right thing. I'm not being anti-feminist, after all, I am a girl. But, yes, I hate having Edward being in pain. Ha, ha, that is...it bugs me but I love feeling sorry for him. It's so dramatic and heart-warming. Sorry!

message 3: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Yes let's all make Edward hurt in our demented thoughts. No I could not stand him in pain. I would just want to...well kiss him and make him better. Actually, I'm pretty weak so Renesmee probably wouldn't be around if I were Bella. You would think Carlisle would think of blood on his own.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

YES, let's all make Edward hurt in our demented thoughts! And then I can kiss him and make it all better! Oh, Edward! Okay, I'll bring Bella back!
Renesmee would be around if I were Bella because she just would be. But I would feel sorry for Edward. Oh, Edward, Edward, Edward!
Okay, enough gushing and internal crying. I can do that all in my own head.

Haha.... wow aren't we a bunch of demented sobs... I wouldn't have chosen the name of Renesmee... and I would have talked to Edward and then made him hurt less........

message 6: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
I probably would have too. And I think I would have been a little more creative with how to feed the fetus. Blood, duh. It was soooo obvious. I probably would never have been "selfish" about Jacob and kept him close. I would not feel comfortable. I would have made sure he knew I was never going to like him that way. I would probably just cut communication completely.

Oh, Edward! I'm sorry Bella hurt you that way! I wouldn't have done that if you liked me! (In my dreams, right?)

message 7: by Lavanya (new)

Lavanya It was really obvious that the fetus needed blood; I can't believe it took them that long to figure it out. Sheesh, for such smart vampires, they were pretty slow. Bella should have talked to Edward more, and just made him feel less hurtful. I know Edward takes all the blame all the time, but at least Bella could have tried to make him feel better. I would have!

message 8: by Lara, Editor Extrodinare (new)

Lara (laraswimm) | 599 comments Mod
My aren't we condeceding to the vampires.... I think that if Rosalie wasn't so...... Rosalie then the relationship would have been better between Edward and Bella....

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Renesmee is a dumb name, yes. While I'm daydreaming that Edward would ever have liked me, I'll simplify it and have Jacob not like me. But even if he did, I probably would have recommended one of my friends to him (in case you're wondering, Autumn, Harriet) and ignored him then.
Rosalie's fine.

If I had to combine the names I would have done it Esrea or Renes but I would have just used one for the first name and one for the last name....

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Esrea...that's good, but again I'd have just made her Renee Esme or Esme Renee or Elizabeth Renee, seeing as esme was never going to die.

message 12: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Well I liked Carlie. I thought that was cute. And Carlisle isn't going to die either.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

I like Carlie too! But I don't like the name Esme too much in the first place. Yeah, my vote's for Carlie.

message 14: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Lara? What's your vote? It's too much fun being the judge. Can we appoint me Judge Autumn? Please!

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, we can.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

That wasn't meant to be Obama's campaign slogan, it just came out that way.

All in favor of appointing Autumn as Judge say Aye

AYE!!!!

I think I like Carlie the best too.... aside from separating the names...

Lavanya Clara wrote: "Esrea...that's good, but again I'd have just made her Renee Esme or Esme Renee or Elizabeth Renee, seeing as esme was never going to die."

I personally like Elizabeth Renee out of all the options, but then maybe Esme would have felt left out. who knows! I actually liked the name Renesmee; I guess I am tolerant of unusual names, seeing I happen to have one in my community (in the Indian community, my name is common, but not in the US). But when I first saw that name, I was having a hard time liking it. I'm glad SM included how the name was supposed to be pronounced too. Over time, I got really used to it, and now I like it to some extent.

Carlie is an excellent choice, it's better than the baby's first name for sure.

And I appoint Autumn as Judge too. So, here's my "Aye!"

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Aye!
I like unusual names, just not particalarily that one. I love your name, by the way.
My vote is still for Carlie.

All in favor of Carlie as her fan name, say Aye!

message 21: by Lavanya (new)

Lavanya Thanks, Clara. Oh, for the record my name is pronounced: Lah-vuhn-yah.

What do you mean by "fan name," Autumn? Do you mean Carlie vs. Renesmee?

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Aye.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh wait, I was supposed to do that with an exclamtion mark.
Aye!

message 24: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Yes. I mean referring to her as Carlie instead at most times in this group. With quotations so we don't forget her real name. And you have to mention something with Esmee to be sure we don't forget.

I am going to create a topic for code words. Add on code words and names. But make sure to broadcast to all members about the addition.

Now, revote for Carlie!

Aye!

Hmmm...I don't mind using Renesmee. I actually I prefer that over Carlie. But I'm okay with it if the rest of you want to use Carlie instead. Majority rules on this, right?

Yes. And we can still use Renesmee. But have any of you been like "Did I spell it right?" I can't exactly reach where my prized books are shelved.

Anyone notice how long our topics are?

Yes, in fact I was worried that I was spelling it incorrectly, but I am pretty sure I am not. Yes, our topics are long - that's what makes it fun! :D

It was very low-key for me.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Easter? I had a fabulous one. I went to church, and then was completely bored all afternoon. I ended up watching everything on my Twilight DVD's that day.
Not that you want to hear about my Easter! Yes, long topics are the best.

message 37: by Lara, Editor Extrodinare (new)

Lara (laraswimm) | 599 comments Mod
Haha I spent Easter with my family. Half of it i was talking about Twilight with my cousin... that was fun!

message 38: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
I wish I had relatives I could do that with! I suppose I could do that with my cousin, but she and I aren't that close. And then my other cousins are too young to read it, and my older cousins I don't see much of and haven't read them either. I need to see if my family friend cousin has joined goodreads yet. If not I'm going to kick her into doing it!

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

All my cousins are either too old or too young...I wish I had cousins my age.

message 40: by Lavanya (new)

Lavanya If you've noticed I haven't been commenting a lot on Goodreads thanks to my teachers. Too much homework these past two weeks; everyone in my class is so tired and out of energy.

So eight of my friends and I got together for a sleepover, and we did some great stuff. It was highly rejuvenating. Now I'm ready to face next week. Hopefully, I'll have time to get on Goodreads.

I introduced both my boy and girl cousins to Twilight. They both loved it. And my guy cousin went out and bought all the books, and the movie when it came it out. I'm so jealous - I still don't have the movie yet. We talk about Twilight all the time, and it's really interesting to hear a guy's perspective of the book.

Oh? Does he have Internet access? Does he have e-mail? If so he should join goodreads and then talk on here. How old is he?

So what his view on Twilight?

Actually, he's on Goodreads, but he lives in a different country. I don't think he has read all the books yet, but he has read Twilight. I don't think he should join this group until he's read all the books - in order to avoid spoilers. I'll ask him once he's read all the books.

Goood. :) It will be cool having a guy on here. So how old is he? Different country? That's neato. :D

message 44: by Lavanya (last edited Apr 18, 2009 02:58PM) (new)

Lavanya He's younger than me (I don't want to give out his age), and I've asked him not to read Breaking Dawn for a while. I don't think he's mature enough for it. And his girlfriend doesn't think so either. ;)

message 45: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Well, I can totally understand that. :) Guys normally don't catch up with how mature we are now until we're way ahead already. Slow as slugs, them.

Nice simile. Yeah, precisely. And he already thinks it's funny the way Bella keeps going on and on about Edward.

It's hard to put up with though. At times he's really sensitive and understands things, and at other times he can act like total jerk and act like he doesn't get anything about Twilight.

Hmm. Is he high school age? That would explain a lot. Plus he's a guy, they are genetically programmed to make our heads spin and do 360's.

Nice description. No, he isn't a high schooler. Stuck right in the middle of middle school, actually. I wouldn't have even introduced Twilight to him, if it weren't for the fact that I was at his house reading it;I didn't want to play boring computer games with him.

But apart from him, perhaps I could find some guy to join Twifanatics. I'll have to do some extensive searching though.
