If there ever were to make one of Joe Ledger book series into a movie, who would play Joe Ledger?

Jonathan posted this a while ago on his FB page but the guy who played The Punisher in the version with Travolta. Also, I think Terry O'Quinn would make an awesome Church...but I could see Willis pulling it off nicely.

Yeah, I could go for Thomas Jane as mentioned by Jonathan and above posting. He'd make a good Joe.

I think an interesting choice for First Sergeant Bradley Sims might be Colin Salmon, who was in Resident Evil, Aliens vs Predator, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

For those of you folks who've listened to the audio books, doesn't the narrator sound just like Joshua Jackson? That's why I suggested him as Joe :) It's enough to make me think that he styles his voice work after Jackson. This of course, assumes anyone has also watched Fringe I guess :P

Michael Jai White as Top Sims. I think Adam Baldwin could play Bunny. He could probably play Church. He's got the right build, and the no B.S. personality he can play would fit well.

I've always pictured Michael C. Hall as Joe Ledger and Michael Fassbender as Gault.

I'd like to see Michael C. Hall in the Ledger franchise somewhere, but not as Joe. I just don't ever see him as the good guy.

Fassbender just doesn't seem imposing enough to be Gault.

In my head, Gault looks kinda like Clive Owen, and I don't know why.

For Joe, I'd pick Jake Gyllenhaal. I think it's probably because I loved him in End of Watch and Jarhead. I think he plays cops and soldiers well. And he's young enough. In Patient Zero, Joe's 32. I think some of the actors suggested would have been awesome in their prime, but are too old now to portray him.

If age was no issue, I always see Church as a young Gene Hackman.

An update in Jonathan Maberry's comments on his Facebook, by him:

Hopefully we'll be getting an update soon regarding a movie/TV show taking place in the Ledger universe.

The guy from Burn Notice would be an interesting choice.

I think Liam Neeson would make a good Church.
Tom Hardy would make a good Joe.

Chris Pratt fits Joe's description to me. My choice for Church was Liam Neeson, but Agent Smith, Lord Tywin or Adam Baldwin are good suggestions and even Kurt Russel could fit. As for Tom Hardy I picture him more as Gus Dietrich. For Top, physically, I picture someone like Terry Crews but not sure if he'll fit the bill, so Idris Elba could be. Bunny is Brock Lesnar in my mind, but I doubt he could play, maybe Kellan Lutz with A LOT of workout and pretty good camera tricks could pull it off.

Right now I'm reading Joe Ledger Special Ops and as soon as I'm finished I'll start with Code Zero and my choices are Jim Caviezel from "Person of Interest" would play a great Joe Ledger and Kevin Spacey aka Mr. Church. Benjamin Bratt aka Rudy Sanchez, Dennis Haysbert aka Top, Daniel Cudmore "X-Men Colossus" aka Bunny and Charlize Theron aka Grace Courtland. I hope you enjoy my choices.

ok, to the people saying Anthony Hopkins should play church, i cannot see it at all. i can picture him as Cyrus Jakoby, because he plays evil guys really really well, and Joe Ledger i can totally picture as Anthony Starr, but i think Bruce Willis fits more in as Gus Dietrich. honestly though, its all up to Maberry when we see who he casts. he dropped a really big hint in the aknowlegements page of Code Zero, thanking his film agent so you know we're going to get a TV show or movie.

I think Sylvester stallone fits the bill almost perfectly for Church.. "North of sixty" "big, boxy, and imposing." all words used to describe Church... I still picture Michael C Hall as Joe. And for Bunny I think Joe Manganiello would be awesome. Cyrus Jacoby = John Malkovich.. Toys= Jude Law... Jimmi Simpson =Bug... Grace Courtland = Kate Beckinsale
