I'll definitely give it a watch this week, Nathan. Sounds good. I didnt realise it was a time travel movie.
Warning: I hadn't realized just how old I was till I saw Haley Joel Osment playing an adult role. This may be an unpopular side effect of the film.
Childhood is a fleeting moment in life, when I think about it. so many children I see grow up suddenly around me and indeed, the movies. Certainly could make one feel old.
But when I see 90 year old Christopher Lee, fighting jedis and Wizards, I feel the opposite, inspired and an anticipation for so much life ahead.
So Haley has he returned to making movies...somehow I always felt he wouldnt, with that intelligent brain of his. Looked the sort that could have invented a time machine, if he directed his intelligence in that direction!
Will watch the film this evening!

I couldnt find the damn movie and then discovered its called Continuum in UK. It kept on appearing as I searched for I'll follow you Down but I thought it was shoving the TV series in my face!
Unfortunately its not available to watch free on our UK Amazon Prime but its £1.99 to stream so I'll go for it.

Paul, what did you think of the concept of (view spoiler) Tough on other folks. Especially if it didn't work.
Just watched it last night...(view spoiler)
Couldn't help but think of
In Times Like These when it came to the science of it all. The where as important as the when...

Wow I don't mean to be so pesmistic but there is a great soap opera in there somewhere.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Haha, Lincoln. I could definitely see that as a sequel too. There is certainly still potential for more drama.

Sorry, it took me a longer while to get around watching this, mainly because it was on my rental queue for bloody ages. Also, in UK this film is not on Amazon Prime and doesnt even have the same title. Here, its called "Continuum"...because as you all know, British and American homosapiens are completely different species...
Anyway, at least the level of intelligence behind renaming movies for different countries doesnt reflect that of the film because this was a bloody great, highly intelligent movie. What a great start to my new year.
I actually watched it twice (I guess, I love this film). I would describe it as a time travel philosophical human drama. It gets real with peoples thoughts on the possible or resulting implications of time travel, the weighty morality behind making the choices made or yet to be made.
My only gripe is that the film forces dramatic events to occur in a predictable manner to propel its story but its a small gripe and very forgiveable as the last act rolled with a powerful conclusion.
The film benefited even more with the very established, reliable and talented cast. Its great to see Haley Joel Osment. Still a great actor now in adulthood and nice to see him choosing or being cast in intelligent indie movie roles.
Thanks Nathan, for mentioning this as this film is way way under the radar in UK.
I'd give this a personal rating of 8.5/10
I like your part 2 too! :)

This is not something I see covered often in other time travel stories on any medium and is one of the reasons I highly rate this film.
Sad to see so many film critics not appreciating this film according to Rottentomatoes (33%) but at least IMDB has 60% of the movie loving audience liking it.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Just watched it the other night. I liked the seriousness they gave to the paradoxical issues but they definitely glossed over a few problems as well (or jumped to some conclusions) I'd be interested in discussing it if anyone else watches it.
