2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

It's one of the two books my mom gave me, she read about it in a magazine and told me it was quite harsh at times.
She doesn't read that much and we never exchanged books. I tried only once to make her read one of my favorite books but she never opened it.
I hope it'll open some kind of future exchange between us, now that we are both adults and know more about each other's tastes.

Well I was disappointed by this book, too many depressive people in it and too many clichés. The characters seem locked in their lives and choices and unable to change a thing. It was unnerving to see people just accepting their fate and not trying to change things instead of immersing themselves in depression and hatred. The subject wasn't for me at all !
