2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I first saw this book in 2006 when I began a new job at a bookstore. It caught my eye because the story sounded so bizarre and interesting - a giant golden spruce, the only one of its kind, a natural mystery, chopped down in a senseless act. I told myself, yeah, I'll read this soon!

And now it's 2015. So, when I saw this category on the list, I knew that I had to put The Golden Spruce down to read this week.
