A Short History of Nearly Everything I was just reading about this book on another group and it looks very interesting. Has anyone here read it?

I enjoyed A Walk in the Wood by this author.

Reggia | 2533 comments I haven't but very eager to read anything by Bill Bryson. From reviews I've read, he sounds like an author I would really enjoy.

I've read several of Bryson's books, all excellent. A Short History was especially brilliant - I learned a lot of serious stuff in a fun and very accessible way. It's a book I will read more than once.

Reggia | 2533 comments I had it in my hand at the library the other day but had to leave quickly before I could check it out. Anyway, I need to go back tomorrow, do you think it's okay for a first read of one of his books?

Reggia | 2533 comments What a coincidence that you should post this as I tried to find this book at the library today but all the copies were out.

Neither? like neither short nor nearly everything or?
