Anything Goes Book Reviewers discussion

In just over three days we have had almost 100 members join. That's exciting and great job on all of you for inviting your friends. I'm glad you all enjoyed the group and decided to join. That being said, I would very much like to keep this group as active as possible so I will be starting my MOD search. Read on if you are interested.

Are you interested in becoming a MOD? Are you online daily? Are you addicted to reading? Do you enjoy writing reviews? Are you creative?

What do you prefer, reading or writing? Reading, but I have be thinking about writing something for myself for a while. . .and it will probably be longer before I have the guts to actually do it.

And Why? My love of reading goes back to when I was an awkward preteen. Things weren't going well for me and I found an escape in books. As I got older my love for books grew more and more. Now as an adult I can admit I'm addicted to reading, though not for the same reasons I started. I couldn't imagine a day going by that I didn't read at least a little something. Though I don't let it rule me.

How often are you on GoodReads? Well apparently I signed up for GoodReads in 2011, I don't remember doing this at all. I have a bad memory. Within the last month I have found the site again, and to me it feels like facebook for books. I don't think I could forget about it again, and I'm on at least once a day, sometimes more.

Why would you make an awesome MOD? Well I guess cause its something I would like to do. But I would also like to know what would be require of me before I commit myself to it. I have found that I like writing reviews a lot, though I don't think I'm the most creative person in the world (hence why that book I want to write still isn't here).

Like I said earlier I would still like to know exactly what you would need from me before I agreed to do this. I don't want to take on more then I can handle even if its something I want to do.

You bring up a great point, I knew I was forgetting something!

Basically, Just be on-line everyday, or every other day at the minimum. Posting and interacting with members. Participating in the discussions and welcoming new members. Answer questions or direct the questions to me if the answer is unknown to you. Try and come up with ideas to keep our members interested and coming back.

If you don't want to be a reviewer, that is fine as well. We can title you as a reader instead. (: I'm sure you'll all find that I am really quite an easy going person. And I have a busy life as well, so I'm just looking for more MODs to help keep the group active. With more MODs, if I miss a day of coming on-line, I want to feel like someone else can keep up. The same goes for the other MODs. If there's a day that you can't make it on-line, then I would be there. I just want to keep an active presence from our MODs (:

I think I could handle that. I'm a pretty easy going person myself, and I can think of a few things that might work here. Well it is all out there for me, if I seem like a good fit to you let me know.

And Why? It's my escape, my relaxing me-time, some folks love to curl up and watch TV. For me a book wins out every single time. And not only do I enjoy it, I find it keeps my brain active and I have travelled all over the world and even to worlds beyond with my hobby!

I love to read and write, but lately I have more time to read (and the writer's block isn't helping any). Writing book reviews allows me to combine both of those passions.

I enjoy reading and writing because it is an escape from my mundane reality. It allows me to push my imagination and basically, it's fun! I like seeing other people's creativity; it challenges me to stretch my own boundaries and gives me new ideas.

I'm on Goodreads all the time, it's practically unhealthy. I have the app so mobile access is not an issue and I have a tab open for the website when I'm at work (but let's keep that a secret, shall we?).

I'd make an awesome mod because I like helping other people. I'm also no stranger to message boards and can follow whatever forum rules are set.
