Was there a good balance between the romance and the suspense?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments For some reason, I missed reading about what the other LCR investigators were doing. This was all about Honor and Seth, with very little mention of the others. For example, the operative who felt for the "plain" girl who was taken was referred to in the briefest manner possible at the end of the rescue. I'm wondering if this will figure in a future story somehow. I would like follow-up on the girls who were rescued, more than we got.

Perhaps the story had me involved at the basic plot for this rescue mission and I wanted resolution to it as much as for the hero and heroine's relationship.

I think the suspense part may have eclipsed the romance a bit. I'm making a distinction between Honor and Seth's relationship versus the romance. That blossomed late so there was little time for them as a couple. However, the ending was powerful.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments The suspense part was a bit more than the romance, but the scenes we do get with Seth and Honor were powerful, I don't think it was overshadowed by the suspense considering we got their backstory and how deep their emotions ran for each other. The ending and epilogue were great.

For as little page time their romance had, we certainly got their relationship! They made the most of their development time.

Agreed. I also think their romance has always been eclipsed with suspense.
