I wasnt expecting much of a game and only played it because it has time travel in it...but it turned out to be bloody great fun with a surprisingly big production and story. It took 5 years to make but it had a very troubled production and ended up being unsupported by the publishers. Usually thats a bad sign and almost always result in a poor or "could be better" game. Not in this case. This was quite an awesome first person shooter (FPS).
This game would only interest those of you who are into FPS, though. The game has very much the same vibe and narrative flow as the all time great, Half Life. So if you like Half Life games, you'll love this one. It has the same dynamic and introduces new concepts with time shifting to solve puzzles and in combat.
But if you are not a "shoot em up" gamer, then this isnt for you.
Storywise, its about a soldier who is given a prototype Time Jump suit that malfunctions. A disaster occurs in the science lab while the country is under an oppressive leadership. So the story is set in the past, that we as the protagonist pursue a path to change the future. Its standard fare time travel storytelling but its the game dynamics that makes this a lot of fun.
One thing I am please about is that the game has an ending unlike Half Life series which ends in bloody cliffhanger and then they stopped making anymore.
I played this on a PC with Keyboard/mouse but its available on consoles too.
