If you're looking for any local authors or recommendations, there's a NI Interest thread in the Stuff Worth Sharing section. We also recently read The International by Belfast author Glenn Patterson as a group read, which was enjoyed by most of us that read it-a book I'd definitely recommend!
Enjoy the group!

Hello, Simon. Nice to meet you.

welcome Simon. You've made me wonder how many opportunities there are in rural Down to act in musicals but I am sure once you get to Uni, there'll be loads. Lots of variety of books members in this group get into so I know you'll find things that interest you. And some of our members like Kevin and Paul seem to read in their sleep, they get through so many books plus work.

I'm 18, living in a rural village in Co. Down in Northern Ireland. I'm currently studying English Lit, Drama and Psychology for A Levels and I'm hoping to study English Lit with Creative Writing at Uni next year.
I really enjoy reading young adult fiction, plays and an array of different Irish authors. The only thing is, I tend to not find a lot of time for reading because I also like to be in plays, or well musicals. That's why I'm on GoodReads though, and also why I joined this group, to hopefully keep myself motivated and find some really cool new local authors.
So yeah, that's me. Thanks. :p
