Caitlin, I don't think you necessarily need to have Jane Eyre read before you read Jane Steele. But, if you can read Jane Eyre before you read it, I do think you'd get a little more from the reading experience! I always think it is nice to have the background of the original work to draw from.
You can always ask questions here on the book group too, about Jane Eyre. It is my absolute favorite book so I don't mind answering questions about it. :)

Kelley, our April book is Jane Steele, which is listed on the main page. We'll be reading Gone With the Wind in July. Allison posted about it on IG to give a little bit of a heads up!

If you'd like to start early you can! Also, I've heard the audio book is REALLY good! I've been thinking I might listen to part of it.

i have the books gone with the wind and scarlett and doing som research looking for audio version, i came across 2 more books that are related and wonder if anyone has read them? they are Ruth's Journey: the story of Mammy from Gone With the Wind by Donald McCaig and Rhett Butler's People by Donald McCaig? they are both big books, not as big as GWTW but....
We'll be getting the May book up in the next day or so! And picking a date to discuss Jane Steele! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!!
Hey Stacey! Allison and I haven't picked the book for September yet, but we'll be announcing it before the end of August!
