This summer's adult summer reading program is entitled "Escape the Ordinary". So this summer's challenge is to read four books:

2 books that are outside your ordinary reading list
2 books that are about some type of hero (fiction or non-fiction).

When finished with this challenge come into the library and get entered into the summer reading drawing!

Colleen | 1 comments I'm just starting to read "The Wright Brothers" by David McCullough. I've read most of his other books. They are my heroes because they get me where I want to go even today. My father-in-law was a pilot and no doubt they were his heroes, too.

It sounds really interesting! McCullough is an great writer. I really enjoyed reading 1776. Thanks for your comment!

Done! I read non-fiction ("Perfection of the Paper Clip") and YA fiction ("Counting by 7s") for out of my ordinary reading list and really enjoyed both of them! For heroes: fiction book "The Cleaner at Chartres" and biography "Time Out for Happiness"--Lillian Gilbreth is my new inspiration.
