Luisa (deborahluisa) Well, who never wanted to visit another planet? ;)

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) I've wanted to read this for SO LONG! I hope you like it.

Biana I work at a college with a professor that is part of the Mars project. This book was brought up by one of his colleagues and then next thing you know, we were all reading it. To be honest, it's probably the book I've recommended the most this year. Great read!

Peter This is on my list too! But it has a loooonnnnng line of holds at the library. I'm really looking forward to it and hoping I can get it read before the movie comes out!

Lisa (lml369_07) Oh Peter! I'd totally send you the copy I just finished if I could. I really enjoyed this book and it's one of those books that I want to pass along to everyone I know. unfortunately most people in my day to day life aren't big readers. :( wish I could hand this one over to you to share haha. I think the movie looks really good as well and I'm so very excited about it! my one and only complaint is that I wish this book had one more chapter at the end. No spoilers, but once you read it you'll know what I mean. I read this for my 2015 reading challenge under the catagory of mystery or thriller. Definitely qualified as a great thriller!

Lisa (lml369_07) That's super cool Biana! Did the professor have any comments on how realistic the science in this book is?

Louise | 22 comments Love this book. It is my favourite read of 2014.

I now have 3 copies of the book. I purchased it as an ebook, then someone game me a paper copy, then someone else gave me another paper copy! I'd happily donate a copy to anyone who wanted it. Books, like puppies and kittens, should go to homes where they are really wanted and loved.

Sophie (sawphie) Waw this book looks great! I'm going to try and fit it in the challenge! Thanks for the rec

JackAttack One of my favorite reads from 2015 so far! Excited to see how they handle the movie adaptation.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 319 comments This is on my TBR list. I am just trying to find a spot to fit it in.

Audra (audri8301) I loved this book and can't wait to see the movie, too!

Lisa...he did. He said that other than the original storm that caused everyone to run away...it was pretty solid. (apparently a storm without an atmosphere means nothing. it doesn't even cause ripples in the dirt)

Well that's really cool that it was mostly true science! And I had no idea about storms in no atmosphere. I mean it makes sense when I think about it but it's just not something I ever realized. Thanks! :)

Biana I was willing to just let it be an enjoyable read, all science fiction and not science fact. And, let's be real, when he was doing the whole math thing my brain was like "la la la, math." But it does make it more interesting that our local Mars expert was thumbs up!

Lisa (lml369_07) haha agreed! I read the science math parts but not too much of it actually sunk in. Very cool stuff Biana! Thanks for sharing!

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) You've always wanted to go to Mars? That's a creative choice! I'm glad everyone has liked it, I'm excited to read it.

Well, maybe not really Mars, but definitely another planet. As most people, when i was a child i wanted to be an astronaut (you know, kids...). I didn't become one, obviously, but i still have this crush on space. So yeah, visit a different planet would be really cool. :D

I still didn't finish(almost there), but i am loving this book. I'm reading a translation actually, and i having some troubles with bad translation. But i'm really enjoying :D
