Suzanne | 1582 comments So....we have someone from Mars, someone from Earth, and a belter, all now separated. And the lost ship thing seems to be involving all three factions. Convenient!
Naomi's story bothers me the most - not a bad story - I'm just worried about her - that kind of bother. Amos almost seemed to be wrapping up, until he decided to visit one more person. And the point I'm at (just finished Chapter 15), looks like Alex and Bobbie may be meeting up with Naomi.

Suzanne | 1582 comments "There was a button," Holden said. "I pushed it."
"Jesus Christ. That really is how you go through life, isn't it?"

Perfect character definition/reminder. That IS so Holden. I'm liking his story more now, btw - the plot thickens!

Oh man. I'm really loving this so far. It's been a bit since Abbadon's Gate. I don't remember why I didn't give that one 5 stars, but this one is on track for that so far. And you all know how stingy I can be with that.

I hate when I have to stop, and look forward to picking it up again. Hell I've been listening to it while playing wow (inventory stuff) for the last hour just to get more time in.

I'm glad Bobbie has finally featured in the book. I was scared it was just to get shot and killed for a minute. It appears that her and Alex are going to head off in that old racer ship from the first book on an errand for Holden.

And Amos contacted Avasarala again. I hope he'll hang around her for awhile!

Holden's story has taken a bit of a back seat to Alex's for me, but still going strong. I like your quote about the button pushing too. I'm also a bit surprised the reporter is alive.

Naomi's ex is a real asshole. And I guess he's raised his son to be the same. Kidnapping his own mother? WTF?

What makes you think Alex and Naomi are going to meet up? Is the place Holden asked Alex to go where Naomi is/is heading to? If so I totally missed that little bit. lol.

Suzanne | 1582 comments Yeah they are going to the same place (Alex and Naomi) - an asteroid belt or something (can't recall the name). I agree - Naomi's ex is awful - that storyline bothers me because I just want him gone! I thought Bobbi was going to die too - I'm glad that instead she will be working with Alex - yay!

Sky | 1291 comments Yeah - there are a lot of funny moments with Holden in the book. He really does say exactly what he is thinking, he's such a straight forward guy - he's got no filter at all.

Dara (cmdrdara) I'm really enjoying this book so far - much more than Abaddon's Gate and Cibola Burn. It's great to finally get in the heads of Alex, Amos, and Naomi. Alex and Amos's stories are my favorite so far. I love having some Bobbie back. Naomi's my least. I don't like how she suddenly has a kid. One of my favorite things so far is how Holden's "I keep nothing secret! I'm so self-righteous" is kind of a running joke and James SA Corey seem to be poking fun at it. Having Fred around so much is great too.
