Which particular chapter or scene from the HP series scared you the most? I was terrified by the Inferi in book 6.

Understandable. Certainly one of the scariest and uneasy chapters of the series. Happens right after Harry's first kiss, too, if I remember correctly.

The grave yard where Voldermort kills Cedric Diggory.

This particular scene was quite well portrayed in the movie too.

Yeah,that scene was the one that schocked me the more in the series, I think.
Apart from Fred's death in the seventh book, but that one was sad instead of scary.

In the film of the half blood prince when the hand shoots out of the water. And in deathly hallows when nagini come lurching through the hole

when Harry had a date with Cho Chang in Hogsmead! that would be the scariest scene I've ever read!

Agree with Harry realizing he is the snake. Also anything with the Dementers

I think the scariest scene in Harry Potter, for me, was the scene in Malfoy Manor. It really creeped me out, especially Fenir Greyback

For me it was the cemetery scene in HP&GoF when Cedric Diggory dies and Lord Voldemort rises.

i think the most "Eww" scene was in the train in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

When I read the third book I kept stopping it because I was afraid of Sirius.

This wasn’t in the book but, in deathly hollows when Harry is about to get on the train and he sees Voldemort

"KILL THE SPARE"... like WTF... it was supposed to be a children's book

There was a scene in the 2nd book when Basilisk was called by Riddle...that was scary..
And another I'll say from the Azkaban movie, when Harry and Hermione were hiding from the werewolf, and he suddenly came in front of them.

For me the scariest scene by far was when the snake crawled out of Bathilda Bagshot and started attacking Harry the entire build up to it was just creepy

The scariest HBP and DH scenes have been losing their impact on me.

Apart from these, I think in GOF, when Wormtail takes Harry's blood.

1.For me it is the scene from the prisoner of azkaban where hundreds of dementors surround Harry and Sirius.
2. Apart from that that's not really scary but in the chamber of secrets, when harry and Ron took the flying car and got stuck in the tree.
3. When in the deathly hallows, the snake came out of Bathilsa Bagshot and destroyed the building and almost Harry too.

On the first book, when Harry is in the Forbidden Forrest, and he sees a cloaked figure (that we later know is Quirrel)eating the blood of unicorn. I think I picture are really scary scene on my mind but that chapter freaked me out.

In my opinion, the most scary scene for me was in the chamber of secrets when Harry hears whispering from the walls from the basilisk. The basilisk says "rip...tear...kill" and "I smell blood...I SMELL BLOOD". This is especially scary in the movie as only harry hears it.

Harry going on a date with Cho Chang was scary and I thought Harry was done for. Cho was so angry and Harry didn’t know what to do
