Lynne Nunyabidness (mountainlaurel13) | 9 comments After some deliberation, I decided to push myself with 5 challenges (I can be a slow reader):

Nonfiction
Set in a different country
Fantasy/scifi
Coming out
Author of color

I vanquished this one with Kelly McCullough's WebMage, the first in his series of the same name. Review is on GR: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....

It may have taken me forever and a day, but I finally got through Information Literacy and Social Justice: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Lynne Nunyabidness (mountainlaurel13) | 9 comments Challenge #3: a coming out book

This may not have been quite what the challenge writer intended, but I chose Coming Out Atheist, by Greta Christina: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Lynne Nunyabidness (mountainlaurel13) | 9 comments Challenge #4: Author of color

For this one, I actually read a collection of stories by authors of color, Octavia's Brood, named in honor of Octavia E. Butler: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....

Lynne Nunyabidness (mountainlaurel13) | 9 comments Challenge #5: Set in a different country

I'm hoping that nonfiction counts for this category. So, I duly submit for your consideration Hitler's Furies by Wendy Lower, a nominee for the National Book Award a couple years ago: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... The history presented within takes place in eastern Europe and Asia, in countries such as Austria, Poland, Germany (of course), Ukraine, the Baltics, and Russia.

Lynne Nunyabidness (mountainlaurel13) | 9 comments So I read two additional books that weren't part of any challenge.

Coldbrook was a scifi book with multiverses and zombies: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

World War Moo is a sequel to Apocalypse Cow. Not as funny as the first, but is any second book in a trilogy? https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
