Power Word Plus Mini Challenge

10 pts per book that matches criteria for the mini challenge points.

Step 1: Pick a power word
Step 2: How many words can you make from the letters of that power word?
Step 3: Find a book whose title, series, or author name (first or last) is one of those made words.
Step 4: Get 10 points per book that contains a formed word
Step 5: Repeat these steps throughout challenge for as many power words/books as you wish to complete in the time frame.

Example
Power Word "Knowledge".
Some words that can be formed from it's letters:
now, low, gown, down, leek, week, edge, gold
Books that would work:
Tied Up, Tied Down
Down London Road
Down for the Count
Now You See Her
Sixth Grave on the Edge
On the Edge
Naked Edge

Receive 10 points per book read

Rules:
1) You can use any and as many of the power words as you want during the challenge, but you can't mix letters between power words.
2) Formed words must not be "A", "an", "the". "in", "or", "on"
3) If your book qualifies and is used to claim the power word points, to get credit for the mini challenge, the formed word must come from a different power word. No double dipping.
4) The formed word cannot be part of a title/series/author word - but must be a word to stand on its own. For instance in the example above "Snow" would not qualify for "Now".

Power Words and some example formed words:

lightning - glint, night, gin, gilt, thin, hit
thunderbolt - horde, throne, bone, hold, dour, ton, tone, told
shapechanger - page, rage, cage, sage, hang, pang, harp, hanger
knowledge - now, low, gown, down, leek, week, edge, gold, weld
vengeance - can, cane, cave, gave, van, vane, even

Mini Challenge Runs 6/4-6/10

I added a step #5 to clarify - each person can pick which power word(s) they wish to use during this challenge, and do not have to limit themselves to using only one.

There are apps on the web that you can fill in the letters of your word and they generate every possible combination. It can be a little overwhelming, but also helpful to see what you might have missed.

There are certain words that you will find are better suited to finding matching words for in book titles/series/authors. Share them with your group as you find them. The ones I listed were just examples and by no means exhaustive.
