So i decided to read an old bookclub choice because it interested me. Made you up by Francesca Zappia is about a schizophrenic senior in high school. Its my second book by her, and frankly, both love interests in those two books were jerks. Overall, I did enjoy the book quite a lot, the beginning was bit too slow and quirky but by the time of the big reveal i was utterly hooked. Based on reading experience, I wanted to rate this 4 stars.
HOWEVER
this book's schizophrenia representation is atrocious. most of my complaints overlap with this review:

So as fiction, decent, but as mental health representation - don´t bother.

A much better read is Challenger Deep. The author's son has schizophrenia, so i trust author way more.

For non-fiction
and for the lighter fiction /ya choice
which sounds less well known but has a lot of high ratings.
Enjoy!
