I really enjoyed this book, and the weekends my grand kids came round to share this with me. One of the main characters, the dog Winn-Dixie is a delight!

Definitely read this one everyone, your little ones will love it! We certainly did. Someone told me there is a film out about this book, may have to have a look for it but suspect it won't match the book.

This was a really cute story about a girl and her dog. It wasn't sad which is something I dislike in an animal story. My brother read it and recommended it to me.
I like how the dog encourages her to make new friends and go out of her comfort zone.

Oh my, what a lovely book! I know I'm biased as love dogs, and made me think of mine, but anyone reading this that isn't touched by the whole thing must be made of stone.

The 'Lee' family brood enjoyed this charming story which I really liked the moral of, moving away and making new friends etc. Think this fits nicely with quite a range of age groups! The bigger kids I'm sure will enjoy as much as the littler ones.

I read Because of Winn-Dixie a few years back and loved it! I just found a hardcover copy of it at my local bookshop recently and was thrilled to add it to my collection. :) It's such a heartwarming story.
