Jared's ex-wife, Lara, was particularly unkind to him. Do you understand why, when learning of his training, she wanted nothing more to do with him?

No, I don't. If she loved him, she would have at least let him explain his skills. Of course, if she merely wanted a sterile marriage of convenience, Jared's training was anything but convenient.

Lara came off as a cold fish with Jared, yet how much was her transformation as wife and mother with her second husband? Perhaps he loved Lara, and Jared really didn't.

I didn't understand her either. She obviously made it mean something that was pretty offensive to her sensibilities. Even her current husband was separating from her.

I'd temporarily forgotten that. I wonder how Lara would handle shared custody?

I was hoping the experience might bring them closer, have her appreciate her husband and family more.

She seems like the type that is never satisfied with people. She wasn't that nice to her new husband either.
