Yes, I agree; although by the end of the book she's the one with more knowledge than anyone else.
Laura is blind in that she lives in her own fantasy world (well, all the characters live in their own worlds, but Laura more than most.) But as to the assassin label, this applies more to the male characters - their father, Alex and Richard, who are all destructive and given to trampling the feelings of others underfoot, choosing not to see what they are doing.
The more I think about this the more complex it is. The blind assassin of the SF strand sees with his hands and ears, after all; while the dumb girl whom he rescues becomes a mouthpiece and interpreter. They aren't born blind or dumb but made that way by others, and they find ways to overcome their lack.

I think that the biggest one that we can all agree is Iris was the blind assassin, being blind to what was going on between Laura and evil Richard.
