Kellene Haven't read this series yet, or truly had any desire to do so. However, I seem to be the only reader alive who hasn't, so I think I'll give in and use this as my trilogy. Hopefully, this will be another time that the challenge has stretched me out of my box and into books that I found myself enjoying.

Sophie (sawphie) I hope that you're going to like those books! I really enjoyed the first 2, the last a little bit less, but I think it is a good trilogy, and a quick read too!

Kellene Thank you, Sophie. I've heard so many good things about the series that I'm hesitantly excited about finally reading them.

Katie (ktmac_1) I was hesistant to read these as well, but I found them to be really enjoyable to read. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

Maple (maplerie) | 307 comments I hope you're enjoying it. With much reluctance I picked up this series two years ago when I was relentlessly urged by a friend to read them. I was (and still am) surprised by how much I love the first two books. It's one book series that constantly made me tear up. Book three isn't bad, but it's not great. It has a very rushed feeling and like Collins did not know what to do with her story line, which lead to a lot of WTF moments. Overall, I found this to be a decent series. I truly hope that you enjoy it.

Kellene I guess I'm just weird. The first book was okay, but I absolutely hated the second one. I'm about 1/4 of the way through the third now, and I have been able to move through it a little better. I think the idea of plot just bothers me so badly (raging liberal that I am) that I find the books to not be enjoyable. But I shall persevere and at the end I will no longer be the last person on earth who hasn't read the series.

Biana I've read the whole collection a couple of times. Yes, there are issues with the book but there always are. Yes, it's a little overdone sometimes, again of course. Yes, you want to smack a couple of the characters a few times...but that's pretty normal.

Say what you will...I'm going to be a fan forever. And for the record, her Gregor the Overlander series is for a younger audience, but pretty good as well!
