Aneesha My first writing prompt describes a megalith. A megalith is a large stone that forms a prehistoric monument. What I did was I picked a couple of words and phrases from a book about megaliths and used those words and phrases to create a poem describing Megaliths.

Megaliths

Silent fascinating stone structures
No written record to guide us
Freedom to roam
30 feet high
Silent 82 rocks
We wonder of these mysterious structures

Aneesha My second writing prompt is an essay about the Nile River during the Ancient Egypt time.

The Nile River was important to the Ancient Egyptians and its features were interesting to. The Nile begins in central Africa and ends in the Mediterranean Sea. The river is about 4,000 miles long! The flooding of the Nile coated the land with rich silt which helped the crops grow. The silt made the land a dark color, so the Egyptians called their country the black land. To me one of the most interesting fact about the Nile is Hapi is the god of the Nile. Did you know that the calendar was invented based on the Lunar cycle which the Egyptians grouped into 3 seasons which coincide with the Nile and the falling of the Nile? I didn't know that until I read about it. The Nile has history and features which makes us wonder greatly about it.
