This novel is about people gifted with the ability to travel in time. Those with the gift have divided into two factions who are building towards a war with each other over the future. Overall, I enjoyed the story. It ended with a cliffhanger about two of the characters and there is no indication that there will be a sequel. Portraying time travel in a novel can be tricky when you consider all the rules and consequences, but the author did a good job of establishing the framework of time travel for her characters. My only complaint is the love story between two of the characters. I am a sucker for love stories, but I get disenchanted when the, shall we say, depictions of the love story basically bring the plot to a screeching halt while they are together. I feel like it is possible to develop the love story of characters without devoting almost entire chapters to their activities. This novel goes between being an interesting story about time and the affect humans have on time to being a romance novel and back again. I will go or 2.5 stars for this one.
