Book Lair discussion

I figure we can use this topic for every year :)

I was wondering, we are now roughly halfway through the year and I would like to know whether you feel any book you have read so far will end up being your favourite book of the year, or at least be in the top 5 or 10 by the time the year ends.

They are so different it would be hard to say which, but both were wonderful.

Wow! Now that you mention that I was really surprised that I have no one favourite per si and I liked them all. So I will divided this question in three which permits me to choose three books! lol (forgive me!)
The best story I read so far is from Zoran Zivkovic a writer I discovered this year and I read all translated books by him that I could put my hands on so far: it is O Escritor-fantasma
The best gaphical appealing book so far gota be S. and the best essay/science divulging gota be the siminal Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid
Those so far but they might change till the end of the year.
