Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Has anyone gone to see it? Was thinking about checking it out!

(sorry if this was asked or discussed already, I was away from the group for a little while :D)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) I understand what you mean. The first was one of the best horror movies I've ever seen! I was extremely disappointed with the 2nd one..

I haven't seen it yet either. Now, I'm not so excited. lol

message 4: by Andy (new)

Andy | 4 comments I agree with Ashley, it did not have the impact the first one had on me but it was much better than the second one. Certainly worth a watch.

Thanks Andy, I will give it a shot. What a shame that horror movies just aren't scary anymore. is it all about CG effects and they forget about the story line?

message 6: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Can't wait to see It Follows...

message 7: by Andy (new)

Andy | 4 comments I saw a clip of it follows at a film festival last year and it blew my mind, I totally missed it when it was at the cinema but I want to pick it up on DVD real soon.

Kathy (littlemissred3) | 804 comments I wish someone would just come out with a decent horror movie.....something that's actually scary and horror!

message 9: by Andy (new)

Andy | 4 comments I do miss 80s horror I must say. Iconic characters almost seem non existent these days. I think Jigsaw was probably the last one of note?

Monica Go | 258 comments I can't wait to see It follows . I really hope it will come out in Italy too. You wouldn't believe this but The babadook is coming out NOW in cinemas here! I waited so long and now I'll go after I saw it already more than once -.-
I haven't watched Insidious 3 , I recently re-watched the first one.

Donna I love your Quiet Movies

I was at the UK premier of the Babadook at FrightFest last year in London. It went down a treat with the horror crowd. Essie Davis was there and was such a down to earth person, thought she was a stand out performer in all things horror last year. Fantastic performance.

I watched it today. It had what I think you'd call pretty low production values, mainly sound - I had the TV cranked right up to hear the dialogue b..."

You liked it? I didn't understand the whole movie..did I fall asleep somewhere during the movie and missed the reason why It follows?

Monica Go | 258 comments Has anyone seen The pact? It was really good too in my opinion and she was in it too.

message 15: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Haven't seen the Pact that I can remember, but I think I saw it on Netflix!

My Bloody Valentine was filmed right in my home town in 1980.

Really? I loved that movie and I've watched it alot.

Kathy (littlemissred3) | 804 comments I love horror movies, but don't watch them when my husband is at home. He works in the oilfield and everybody that does, avoids horror movies because it's pitch black out in the middle of nowhere and your imagination gets the best of you. lol I went with him once and I'll never do that again. lol

message 18: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Really?? I don't think I could work a job where I couldn't indulge in my horror movies and books! I bet his job would be quite scary!

message 19: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (littlemissred3) | 804 comments It is because every sound you hear and every shadow you see has your imagination all over the place!

I'd like to see these!

message 21: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Would REALLY like that!!

message 22: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Will do :D

PS/ Finally got around to watching It Follows. I thought it was awful, truly. I hate that I didn't like it. The acting etc was superb, but I wanted to scream in frustration every 20 min because of the stupid things they would do!!!! GRRRRR smh

message 23: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (littlemissred3) | 804 comments Just got done watching Ouija and it was pretty good. I'm thinking of skipping It Follows because it has gotten so many bad reviews.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

I always like to make up my own mind regardless of reviews. My opinion often differs.

message 25: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) Same here Kathryn! However.... I do want to know what you think of It Follows, lol. :D

message 26: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (littlemissred3) | 804 comments Oh I'll get around to watching it eventually, but others look like they might be good right now. I watched Cube last night and that never gets old for me. That, and The Birds. LOVE that movie!

message 27: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelrachelrachelrachel) LOOOOOOOVE The Birds!!!
